So what does everyone think about the new article posted on player builds? Goalies may be the best way to test this "new formula". I will play my backup goalie in a friendly then hammer his primary. I will only need 30 days to reach this new level. I will play him only once a week and record his progress if any. He is at 100% chemistry so I should get an accurate result. If anyone else is going to experiment, please note your current strenght. Perhaps we should create a new forumn? Or is it fine to discuss such matters in here.
Past studies found that 2.2-3.0 primary per 1.0 secondary was best. 2.4 slides right into that region. That being said, I'm not overly sure. And I haven't sunk the thought and/or testing to confirm or deny it.
I will attempt to dot he same thing with my friendly game goalie. his Chem is at 0% and he deosnt' play any games so should stay the same and can see. The only problem is he is not very good right now, think it's 80-40-40, but will post and see if there is any change as well. If not, it's easy to re train the secondaries.
I didn't get too caught up in ratios, but most are being trained close to 2:1:1.
I don't agree with the new article.
It is working under the assumption that the guide gives an optimum example where the player is performing at 100%.
If that assumption is incorrect, so is that article.

the article could be incorrect, but one thing is for sure. 2-1-1 is not the optimum ratio if the guide can be taken as true.
Whatever the optimal ratio is in theory, that doesn't mean it's optimal for a given player. Depending on qualities, it might more effective to (slightly) diverge from the norm...
Then we would not only need to know the optimal ratio, but the function used to calculate performance. Some OK to build an Excel file with that?
Bravo Xavier! Good Luck as PPM canada's first francophone national team manager.
I was really close to voting for skip, just because I've seen his team in soccer do so well and am sure he is a great hockey manager as well, but I had just seen Jojilo keep on trying to become national team manager and just thought it was time to give him his shot. Sorry skip, seems like one vote did matter!
