Asunto: US National Team

If anyone wants to get involved with the team, one way would be to bring back scouting the rosters of other national teams that the U.S. is scheduled to face in the World Championships.

This is also a good way to get some perspective of the relative standings of the United States' talent relative to other top countries.

It's also a good way to use other NT's to gauge potential innovations in training players and to determine the strengths and weaknesses of others NT's.

Nice article, but do you think that I choose those players only as much as the player's strength? First of all, I care most about player training.
Then I watch the managers and watch them probably do the training correctly and if not I will write them a message. For another .... if there is a player who is still training, he is in a team where there is not enough background, so I will fire a player from the national team because I don't need such a player ...
In a friendly match, I don't mind if I lose 10-0 or win 0:10. I want my players to play as much as possible for those who go to the World Cup.
I also train the tactics I need ... I do practically everything the Czech Republic does.
But if you don't like my work, I'll end up with this team and someone else can do it and I won't get involved.
I wanted to help the USA, but as I see it, something is wrong.
If that happens, I'll try another team. I think I could try the Czech Republic and I will never come back here. Because somebody has a problem with me.

Patty, you were democratically elected for the senior National Team. It was not even close, so know that most folks support you for the job. I agree with Cap, I do not post often as it always seems to end up in vitriol. I have mentioned it before, we have so few USA teams now, we need to stick together. Can we not find humor in other avenues instead of against one of our own? Sometimes i wonder if i stepped down, would it make the game more interesting for the other USA teams? When i started, i had to tackle the Irrisistable Force. It took me over a decade to even come close. However, that is what made it interesting for me. Trying to walk down the best the USA has to offer. At any rate, I am always open to debate or to try and help any manager. If I can make the experience better for any of you, please let me know. Keep yer head up, and I'll see you at the rink.

capsaicin and Headhog....well said all around!! I am in my 11th season as GM for the senior Canadian National team. It has very much been a learning experience for me! To have the best success, one must spend a great deal of time researching players, and the opposition's tactics. It is not nearly as easy as managing a league team, because with fewer games, each game has much more importance. The competition is much stiffer too.The senior player base is entirely different, because a player's experience has a much greater effect on their true potential OR. Patty 16 you seem to be on the right track.
We are experiencing similar problems in this country with the loss of some very good teams. Our player base has been good enough to keep us in the top 10 of world rankings. Not so any more!
Like you, Headhog, I have offered assistance to anyone who cares to ask. Very few have asked. In fact, most of the requests I have had are from other countries (including yours). Other countries are reading our forums, as I am reading yours.
So many new managers could avoid becoming discouraged if they would simply ask a veteran manager. There is always someone who can and will help them avoid making the same mistakes we all made because we didn't ask either.
Still loving this game!!

I plan to play all the matches for three lines before the final tournament. Because I need to give players chemistry as soon as possible. I have some new players so I focus mainly on them.
