To be honest, I don't think we should follow too much the example that other countries set. The WCH is only for about 10 days a season. I'm trying to have some fun for 112 days. I can't control the NT but I can control my team so my team takes priority. Of course, I'll try to play games in Normal or less all season but come playoff time I will throw in a High game because I want to win. I think the NT managers should accept that and do the best they can with what energy players have. Now the training thing is a different story. If someone that knows the game best tells me I should train a specific attribute so that my guy is competitive in the WC I damn better listen because that's a hell of a tip someone is giving me. I don't understand how someone might ignore a training suggestion for players.
I nominated myself for NC Manager, but doubtful I'll get it. I'd really like to start as an assistant manager, but that's not up to me.
I think that the US managers mentality is like the NHL, your team is first, country is second, where other countries are the other way around, just like in real life.
I have no chance of international players for a long time, due to me only having 2 full seasons in the game, but I'd be a little offended if I was told to make my player a certain way, or rest him at times. I would be ok with suggestions, but not an iron fisted approach.

Jojo, Jones, i agree with you that the National Team is a fun thing we can do together, but our focus should be on our seasons. Jojo, most of the players we see with really bad stats are so off there would be far too long to fix them to be useful.
I know I have one i've scouted for next season and I have a note to ask the manager about his training, but most of our players are built fairly well. Just wish we had more defenseman who have decent qs in shooting

I've scouted all US players and, yes, shooting is not something they excel in.
And now, with the addition of passing for wingers it's going to be interesting to see how people will train their wingers in that particular attribute.

If the players with defencemen with shooting attys of 85ish and up would train there guys shooting like a secondary we could see a much better squad and could use the offensive strategy more effectivy especially since we have such a solid goalie between the pipes
To show you how crazy the WC is #3 Croatia and # 4 Belguim from our division are playing for the championship. A simple good brake or a bad one changes everything.
I think they both need to be penalized!! Perhaps they'd learn their lesson if they were forced to sit and watch all league games, or at least the ones against me, for 1 season. They'd never make that mistake again!!! right??
What kind of clubs are the NT players playing for (ours and others)? Are they on lower division teams or first division?
Most are div I and a few div II. They are player that have to be on clubs with train levels better then 10 so they can keep their development with other player and player from the rest of the world.
I have a spreadsheet with all the national team players on it, so this data was easy enough to gather:
USA division I - 27
USA division II - 4
Argentina Div. I - 2
Czech Republic Div. I - 1
Latvia Div. I - 1
Poland Div. I - 1
Solvakia Div. I - 1
Denmark Div. I - 1
Switzerland Div. II - 1
Hungary Div. III - 2
Slovakia Div. III - 2
Slovakia Div. IV - 1
As for the Training Facilities at level 10, a quick glance caught one exclusion: Andy Valentin . There's other with Regen Facilities below level 10 as well. By the way, whoever becomes the next NT coach, I'll be more than willing to gather/maintain data.
