Yep, I have dumped a lot of salary and though I got one older vet winger I did not figure it would be enough. I think right now the chief advantage for either of us is who is at home. At least until my D that is injured gets better. Hope he is good to go for tomorrow else I think you have this series, lol
This is more the result I'm used to lol Yep! Seems home ice really is the advantage
Next season is going to be VERY competitive if the top teams in Div III all come up
Yeah I've been looking. Figure I can beat two of the teams easy that are currently below me. Besides that depends what we get. I am trying to get cheap vets, managed one thus far, but am prepared to get booted down if need be rather than overspend on talent as prefer arena upgrades (though I doubt that will happen though who gets promoted here will have a huge part to play in that)...
I picked up a few rentals that are only eligible for one year contracts, but I figure 29 yr olds can still re-sign for 3 years so they're worth "renting" while my other players develop. Good news is, if you bid on 20, you're bound to land one for cheap lol That's how I managed to grab a few guys low budget style. (Otherwise the first half of the season might have been a bit better for me, too lol)

Wow, whatever the coach said in the locker room worked during the 1st intermission. Amazing rivalry as always my friend. Congrats on your final series as you should win it easy, not sure I will fare so well...
Maybe, I did this season, though that was more cause both my good goalies were on the verge of being in their 30s...

I dumped most of my vets though picked up one (age 29) for cheap recently.
At the moment I have a 31 year old, 29 year old, and three 27 year olds.
That said I do not have many young either. Three 15s, one 16, one 21.
The rest are 23 to 27. I figure I will hang onto the bunch of them until they all retire as unless they get injured I figure they will be good to go until I get my finances up. I am interested to see how far my young ones progress by the time they are 21...

I have a steady stream of young guys coming in. Only one guy is old enough that his stats are decreasing, so I'm not worried

Ha! My team is better than it was before I got relegated out of here, but good enough to stay up, we'll see. Shipped out a lot of older players and got some nice solid younger replacements.
