after starting the season 1-3, the flock have rattled off 3 straight regular season wins holding each of the three teams to less than 10 shots and recording shut outs in each as well. The team is looking in great form to start the season
I don't even want to look at the scores of my games anymore. After the first seven games the Bulls are 1-6 giving up a total of 55 goals to our 7. We have been shutout 5 of the 6 loses and losing by over 5 goals in every loss. D2 is not very forgiving. I just hope I can stay in d2 for next season. Just trying to slowly claw our way through the ranks in the long term.

Today the 3-2-0-1 Tomahawks faced off against the 4-0-0-2 Danglers at home in front of 950 fans cheering them on. The injuries had not been kind to the Tomahawks this year as they started the season without there 2nd leading goal scorer from last year Michael Green. However on the three day break the Tomahawks had two crippling injuries. The new signee Alfreð Christiansson is out for 2 weeks with right meniscus damage and Anthony Reyes is out 8 days with a double rib fracture. It would be a tough game without them as they look for a spot in the playoff's this year.
The first period started off in the Tomahawks favor however. They dominated the offensive zone giving the Danglers only 38% of the time on offense. About half-way through the period the DCU center erupted as Artturi Varvikko took advantage of the Chris Wilson roughing penalty and put the Tomahawks up 1-0. They only allowed the Danglers 9 shots which was good after losing two key defensemen.
The second period was leaning more towards the Tomahawks side as well. The first 22 seconds of the 2nd period led to the sound of a horn as Tomáš Zaplatílek put one in the back of the net and the Tomahawks went up 2-0. 2 minutes later however Paul White of the Danglers embarrassed the Tomahawks at home with a shorthanded goal and reduced the deficit too 1 goal. Immediately after though Barry Welsh received a nice pass from Artturi Varvikko and had them going into the third period with a 3-1 lead.
The third period was a disaster for the Danglers. They lost momentum and got tired as the Tomahawks threw 6 goals behind Danglers goaltender Bradley Esparza. The Tomahawks won 9-1 and improved to 4-2-0-1 and remain at 6th place. The Danglers however moved down to 10th place but are still definitely in the playoff race.

The Tomahawks saw a HUGE blowout today at the TI Arena. 18-0 was the final score as they jumped to 4th place in the standings with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers just 1 point behind.
We would like to recognize the Tomahawks first players to be selected for All Star Selection!
Yuri Dinero who played his first game as a Tomahawk and scored 4 goals and 2 assists on 9 shots.
Chad Gill who has been the only player to remain on the 1st line all season had 2 goals and 2 assists.
Karl Muilu who has had an amazing season this year with a 95 save percentage and in this game had a 100 save percentage on 17 shots

The Tomahawks new signee got the all-star selection this week and he got it in impressive fashion. Ferdinand Krčál who is one of 5 Czech players scored 5 goals on 11 shots and had 1 assist.
The Tomahawks next bout will be against the Quad City Mallards who will be a tough competition for sure. They sit in 6th place but definitely have had a harder schedule up to this point compared to the Tomahawks. However the Tomahawks will have some key players back to try and help win the game. Tomahawks manager said "This game won't be easy and it certainly will be close. I have faith we will put up a good fight and if we come within one goal I'll be happy. I expect to see overtime in this game but as you know our team is 2-0 in OT so it will be an exciting game."

Ive been playing all the inactives recently, not much to report about except that my first line center had a 12 point game and still couldnt crack the "All Star" team lol
