A thread for Australian managers while we don't have our own leagues

So... we all thought football would get tons of Aussie managers. How do we all see Basketball doing?

It is very difficult to predict if I haven't seen the engine yet. I believe, that basketball could reach the second spot ahead of hockey and handball. However, coaching 3 teams is already difficult..

My opinion is that soccer will be the only private Aussie league.

Me too. Soccer is far more popular than basketball here, and if soccer fails to get numbers then i find it hard to imagine that basketball could bring them in.

Question will also be will basketball coming also bring more Aussies to soccer. Will wait and see.

I suspect we'll see the usual suspects

Personally, I'm more interested in basketball than handball or ice hockey but not as much as soccer and I'm not as interested in soccer as I am rugby league or cricket but I don't expect the Slovakian developers to start work on them in a hurry.

I would have thought soccer would be most likely to attract Australians in the circumstances.

What I've never understood about PPM is they get a lot of people signing up for teams but 99% sign in once and never come back. I can only assume their marketing is slightly misdirected and the people they're getting to are after more instant gratification.

or they are intelligent and realise that if you dont start at the start you dont really have a chance to catchup unless you stick around for 5 full years and even then...

Hardly trying to recall whether it was hockey or soccer that brings me into this game. Back in days I used to play soccer manager games. Still, hockey is also my favourite game. Basketball would be definitely ahead of handball which I am going to give a go to see.

Likewise, crico. Soccer definitely is.

Regarding marketing, it could be misdirected. Also, the game is not as easy to start without knowledge. Even if there is tutorial. Except the hockey animation which I never found exciting, it is only text based game..

Basketball is intense, league match every day! Be difficult to keep up with 4 teams and NT but I'll give it a go.

Interesting flicking through the leagues and checking out the Aussie teams. There were three or four basketball only teams, including Clan McLeod, former soccer manager. So there could be some potential to increase numbers to the game.

Will be interesting after about a month if they stick at it.

I think I am trained Australians do not have any chance to compete in basketball, and the reasons are many of them in basketball when the first time you see evaluating players play less thing either 150 Australians 130 for this reason

Also noticed number of other sports growing - hockey teams is up to 33, and handball up to 29... so about half a dozen more than normal.

Don't get fooled, it will drop again, still there is a good chance that few extra ppl stick around and that would be a good thing
