I actually had the same problem. The goalie that I picked up had his important qualities hover around the 50's until they settled around 70. He's still not going to be a superstar, but he's good at this point in the game and better and younger than anything I had before.

Yeah, I'm happy if I can get guys with 65-70 EQ (75 if I'm lucky) for only a couple million at this point in the game. I've got guys like that (decent EQs purchased early for reasonable money) in both soccer and hockey who are still on the team and will be for a while yet.

The large amount of experience they build up, to go along with their decent training rate, makes them quite useful in the long run.

Back to back 1 star general offers. Not cool.

Awesome, auto-signed a 1-star general. So, that's 4 straight 1- and 2-star general offers. What a fun system that adds so much to the game.

Maybe someday they'll decide they want my money and clean up the RNG mechanics that only add frustration to the game (but I doubt it).

It's on the To Do list No clue what changes they're planning, but sponsor offers are on the list.

I'm getting 4.35M total this season.

That really sucks. I got 1-1-2 general offers until a good one came through at the end, and was ready to get really frustrated about the game if another bad offer came through. Randomness in this kind of game is necessary, but putting something as make-or-break as money largely out of your control is beyond annoying.

And to tack that on top of the bad luck you've had from your academy this first season...you're handling it better than I think I would.

I also had 1-2-2-2 offers.

I don't mind the RNG that I can affect in my favor, like playing games. It's the RNG I have zero control over that's frustrating, and unfortunately, two aspects which are very important to a team that you can't affect in any way are the qualities of your pulls and the star ratings of your sponsor offers. You can kind of indirectly affect those by increasing your sports academy level to get more pulls and your HR level so that even a crappy 1-star offer will be worth more, but it's still not great.

I expected this sort of thing to happen though, since the same thing happened in soccer and this sport follows a similar system. My soccer team went through about 3 seasons (2-4, or maybe it was 3-5) where I didn't get a single 3-star or better youth, which set me back quite a bit since I don't really like spending lots of time on the market.

If I were paying money and taking competition seriously, I'd definitely be upset. But I'm just a casual freeloader (especially in handball), so I just say "Oh well" and move on.

Yeah, I had one good one, but not much else. I'd gladly trade my one Baer for Outsider626's six 200+ guys.

Good luck to the 12 active teams. Competition for the top 8 (and top 4-5) should be stout.

As far as predictions, someone will pull an unbelievable player or two midway through the season and fly to the top of the table. Who has the best Academies? Las Vegas, Baltic, Covington and the EIC all have SA8 under construction. So I guess it will be one of those teams.

Baltic didn't play his top goalie today. I think he's right there with us too.

Really? That's odd. I wonder why WUN did that? Who's his normal goalie?
