God d*amn that's a lot of money spent.

I mean, I refuse to bother with the market right now because players are soooo overpriced, and become even more so once their contracts renew (for international guys).
But I have to imagine that a LOW Q high OR goalie could've been bought for much cheaper, and would've been serviceable for a season or two (by which time you'd hopefully pull your own replacement in your shiny new SA 12 lol).

Eh, I will still have the money for Sports Academy and Training upgrades when they are ready. And I am now set at goalie for the next 7 seasons or so. If not, I can sell him for a profit when teams start making more money.

I think it was a wise move. Moves your team to 1st or second in the G dept. Your weekly sponsorships will easily absorb this and you can keep up with the arena/facility upgrades. More importantly you will be shoring up the OTR for next season by gaining extra in Champions. Spending money to make money.

I finally have a second respectable wing. My depth at wing was so bad that the 224 OR 22 year old I just put on the market was starting on defense (and the one on offense wasn't much better). He should become one of my best players despite having a few bad qualities.
Mojo Xpress academy produce best talents. Enjoy. 
Amazing performance by Willard Hatcher . Scored 15 goals on 23 shots. Only one other player on a team took more than 5 shots.
It makes me sad that he had only 12 less shots and 6 less goals than my entire team today...

I wont complain. The first player that I pulled with level 10 academy had OR of 270, which has been sold for 12M. Got half of money back that I invested in it, right away. The next week I pulled a player with OR 315. I can easily sell him for 40M but wont. Today I pulled a player with OR 294. Now I have 3 players with OR 280+ who can barely get any playing time. Most likely will sell the guy that I just got, after I see his qualities. So far the academy has been worth it.
