I wish that I could spare extra players to sell for that much. I can't even sell the 15 year olds I put on the market for $10,000 half of the time, and I've upgraded my sports academy almost as fast as anyone else.

Congratulations on 2nd. Personally, I only really cared about earning a top 8 spot at this point. I guess we'll see if Team USA gets substantially better sponsors for winning the league (beyond the advantage from OTR).

I am behind on all my facilities, but I'm going to use my cash (29 million right now) to upgrade to a triple soon. My HR level is pretty low, so I doubt the sponsors will be that great.

It will be interesting to see how Team USA fares with that strategy.

I plan to follow a similar strategy to the one I used with my hockey team. Now that I have a 2,000 seat stadium, I will focus on my infrastructure for a while before building triples. The problem with triples is that it takes forever to save up for them (especially at this point in the game) and even longer to build them and still longer to earn back the money it took to build them. In addition to taking a long time, the opportunity costs are quite significant. I want to have a respectable sports academy, HRE, and training facilities before starting triples. When those facilities begin to get more expensive, the opportunity cost from building a triple will be smaller (and I will be able to more quickly earn money to use towards the triples). Luckily, I (hopefully) won't have to worry about buying players to promote like I did in hockey.

I will probably start building triples about two seasons from now.

i agree. takes "forever" to save, forever to build, paying big "tax" while building and a "long" time to get the money back.

Facilities are "cheap" giving potential to sell "top" players for big money.

Soon we will be earning enough weekly money to be able to "quickly" build triple

Kevin Linder: 128 OR/1 Star. He would have been a bad pull for a level 1 sports academy during the first week.

I guess that the Irresistible force were quick about building triples, but it's not possible to see exactly how quick, and I wasn't around during the beginning.

One thing that I can tell is that they were extremely active with buying and selling players (in addition, they seem to have had players worth selling).

They also never spent much on players, except for on the occasional key player
