Only the final ranking matters for the sponsors, so he can have first for now. Anybody could take first in the final ranking if they get good enough pulls in the interim and are otherwise lucky.
The only player in my team I believe that will suffer from energy loss is Myles Hubbard as he is competing for spot in the team of season and top scorer. And still he is doing fine on energy so far. I may save some by not playing him on defense in a few games.
OTR counts for sponsors too. I tried to save energy by playing on low today, but it didn't work.

well, i am not going to upgrade it anymore ... not worth. Some people with level 3 and 4 are getting 200+ and even 220+
I leveled to 6 so id have a chance to pull 2.

I already pulled the trigger on SA7. Maybe I shouldn't have, but it's too tempting. Just the chance to get an unbelievably good player, even if he has bad Qs, is kinda worth it in the beginning of a sport. Or so I was thinking before the season started=)

My 151 OR 15 year old with perfect CL (but horrible qualities) couldn't even sell for $100,000. I guess that the bull market has subsided.
I agree. I think the sports academy is one of the best investments at this point in the game, even if it's just a matter of getting a better probability of obtaining a player with above average OR. I plan to upgrade to level 7 in a week.
