Luther "The King" Brunson still for sale. Beast 15 year old goalie with super Q's for 70M.
Alright, I'm officially done pretending I can make myself care about handball. Between not knowing anything about the sport and not really having the bandwidth to manage three teams given my new job, it's just not getting the attention it should. I was hoping I'd be able to stick with it, because I think I have the most advanced training facility in the U.S., but it's just not happening. The Mountaineers will close up shop within the next couple of weeks.
Before I fold the team, I'll sell all my players who are worth anything so that the U.S. can keep some pretty good players in the game. I'll put them up on Wednesday evening at a U.S.-friendly time (probably around 10pm ET), to be sold a week later.

Correction! I'll put my best guys through two camps before they get sold...so they'll go on sale a week from Wednesday to be sold two weeks from Wednesday. Save your pennies.
so sad
another goood manager giving up.
But i get it. specially with this new draft thingy, it has become more difficult to manage multiple teams. Too bad you chose to close handball.
Now we pray your goalies go to good teams. I wont have money to buy since i just spent my money on TF.

Yeah, I was tempted to try to keep handball, but I have more effort invested in my other teams...soccer I'm pretty solidly #3 in the country, and I feel like just a half step behind competing with the top two, and hockey I'm about four seasons into a major rebuild that will be hitting its stride in the next season or two. I'm much more interested in seeing those through than handball.
I'll admit that the draft had a little something to do with it...I don't have a handball propack, and I'm not willing to schedule time in my weekend to sit on the computer. But I was letting the team languish even before the draft came into play.
I'm optimistic that Pascale and Jack will find good teams. I've actually gotten a few unsolicited emails from managers who had solid teams that wanted me to sell. So I think there will be some big buyers in the market.

thats how i feel on hockey and even soccer. Im far behind, cant see lights at the end of the tunnel. I was waiting for a positive change (allow some sort of rank for non pro) but reality: if it was hard to compete when you start late, it is near impossible now if you dont have pro pack and also reality is: not worth because it wont change the fact I cant compete.
If noting change, as soon as basketball starts i will fold hockey and possible soccer as well.

Will set it on autopilot and just build the facilities and play with the SA pulls, sell the good ones. You will then have a good base for when you decide to give it another shot.
You should read the thread I posted in hockey about this. ppm.powerplaymanager.com/...
Canucks responded with some decent insight. I'm still probably going to put my hockey team on "auto" with no pro-pack as I indicate in that post, but it might change your mind.

For what it's worth, Canucks has said that the draft will be changed (yet again). He says the new plan they are thinking is for the draft to be basically a BONUS feature.
IE, there will still be 16 SA pulls each season, but in addition, there will be 2 normal sized drafts (the ones we have now). One in week 8 (for high SAs) and another in week 16 (for the losers).
If that's how they're doing it, I see no reason for you to quit handball over it. There'd be very little competitive advantage gained (or lost) because of that in my opinion.

I agree with tescosamoa though. Even though I'm still planning on "stepping away" from my hockey team, I'm still going to level up my facilities and arena when I can, and pull all my SA players.
Basically it's what my plan is with soccer. I could care less about the soccer manager. I started it too late (same with hockey), and haven't really ever taken the time to digest how to train players and/or set tactics/lineups.
So basically, I'm just leveling my team for the benefit of the national team. As long as I'm online anyways for at least one sport every day (I am with handball), it takes literally 2 minutes to log into the other accounts, check stuff and move on.
You have to be willing to slip down to division III if you do that (if you never check tactics, or train your players you'll start losing quick), but it would definitely serve the "greater good" to have 1 more team with a great SA pulling new American players.

I don't think he is quitting over it. It is probably the last straw just like i feel on hockey. He is not enjoying and i guess since he cant even camp and autopilot he is dropping.
But i guess the new changes could be enough for him to reconsider and autopilot

I lost interest in Hockey long time ago. I even missed the last few drafts and i had a top 5 pick. That shows how much i care about hockey. The only reason i keep the team, is because i max out on top facilities except SPA lvl 14. It took me a long time to get there, and i just can't demolish it like that. Soccer is also reaching it's boiling point.

part of the problem i see with hockey is that it just feels "old" compared to the other products. When basketball gets released, it'll probably feel ancient.
Simple changes they made in handball like how much facilities and their upkeep cost, to how many different attributes are used for players of different positions, to how you need more staff members active depending on dynamic conditions, make the game feel deeper.
Hockey has none of that stuff. Now that we've all been more focused on handball for a while, hockey just feels like a beta by comparison (at least it does to me).
