Wtf?

Hello,
We just had a conversation on our NT forum regarding handball economy. It's extremely hard to keep a team above the water and only the most successfull teams have the luxury to be without any financial concerns. The market is close to dead, only extremely good players are selling well. It's even hard to sell a 15-year old with AVQ 80+.
Is it possible to do somenthing about it? Maybe reduce player wages or facility costs? Or increase sponsorship revenues for average clubs (the best ones already have enough money)? Managers are leaving the game because they can't develop their teams...

I think the high wages is the best thing in Handball. Finally not everyone can have everything. You need to be smarter to be successful. For example in hockey, every team can simply afford the highest rated players without problems which is boring in comparison.

Yes, economy in handball is more cruel than in hockey and football. I doubt, that it will change. And I think, that it is not bad.
In fact, I think, that after few season, there will be no team without financial problems. Even the top team will have.
You write, that managers are leaving, because of high wages. Yes, it is true. In my league I have 4 "crosses". But on the other hand, 4 crosses means, that 4 teams will be permanently replaced with promoted teams from lower leagues.
Handbal is more manager game than hockey. The biggest issue will be to avoid bankrupt. It will be no shame to change old/expensive player for young/cheap, or turn off training to players, or reduce number of players in team.

Those are valid reasons when looking from a limited point of view. But the issue is quite bigger than that. How is a middling I.1 team that is fighting for a playoff spot supposed to catch a top I.1 team with 20k arena and lvl 15 facilities when the manager has to demolish his ~13 facilities to ~8 level and sell his top players just to avoid bancrupcy and few weeks later he goes back in the red? While the top team sepnds hundreds of millions each season for new players while already having top facilities and arena?

The time when top managers have to make decisions on which players to keep and which to sell/drop is still several seasons away (at least), but the middle teams already have to sell players which top teams won't even sniff because they are much worse than what they already have. I know that huge salaries thing was implemented to hurt the top teams, but right now it's actually helping them in removing the competition of teams which are looking to move up the ladder.

And the new teams that are replacing the dead ones won't do any better i prommise you that, teams would have moved up already if they were beter as they are run by managers who have even less time and dedication to their teams on PPM.

Make a pool and ask the managers what they think about gigantic expenses in handball (and avoid asking the top managers who alredy have 800M+ sponsor incomes and only consider it an inconvenience)

You are talking about SLO I.1 for example? I see problem in arenas. Average capacity of arena in your league is 8589. Only 2 teams have 20k arena.
In SVK I.1 is average 17407 and 9 teams has 20k. In CZE I.1 is average 16850 and 10 teams has 20k. In SRB I.1 is average 16110 and 8 teams has 20k.
You (not you personaly, but midtable teams in your league) underrated arena developing some time ago, and now are in problems.

That is one weird transfer (it was a market agent set before the club folded). I will forward it to a developer, at least to prevent something like this in future.

Hi there.

In terms of economic and sponsoroffers the next season (handball) - will league position in the fist half have any significance? I'm not talking about the playoff - because I know for sure, that is very important with the position there - but the league position right before the playoff begins?

And anoter one - does it have anything to say, how far you get in Champions League (again compared to sponsoroffers)? Let's say that you reach the playoff there instead of (only) groupstage - will the sponsors reward that?

Does my questions make any sense at all?
