I would train passing to 44 then goalie to 88 then move tech to 50, passing to 50 then goalie to 100. I always train tech before passing because in the old guide tech was second atty while passing was third atty.
I always prefer to level the secondaries first. Since they don't affect how much you pay on that player. Plus while say 100-50-35 he won't play to his max potential. But ever skill he gains from say 50-40-40 on the way up will make him that much better. And cheaper while levelling up this stud!

So in your opinion, I should train up passing to 44 and then slowly work up the goalie rating to 88?
Sorta. I would say levell passing and tech to 45. Then the long build of tending to 90. Since it should only be 2-4 days for tech to hit that number (depending on your training facility). I bet you could probably have him close to this goal of 90-45-45 before seasons end..... which is redonculous to say the least! And when he is trained up, please mail me that horseshoe. But steralizeit first! 
A sound plan. I'll try and go about doing that. After the final playoff series is done, I'm sending him to the youth camp. 
That should boost his training up significantly.

Just a little update on his progress for you guys:
GOA - 60 (0.49)
PAS - 41 (0.81)
TEC - 44 (0.67)
He's training at around 1.3 in training camp.

Well done! Keep upgrading the Training/Regen/Sports Academy and he'll be on Team Canada eventually.
I know regen helps him gain everything back faster..but is there a benefit to training? I could upgrade my regen facility or save my money for training level w/e it will be 
Regen will help players who play regularly train better, so just factor that in to your facilities plan... I'd say upgrade training/Sports Academy first, then regen.
Some people are going to disagree, but I'd take training/regen over SA these days. I'm very disappointed in my SA.
So regen DOES add to training in a way. In that case, I'd go with training/regen first. Thanks!
