It would be nice to have:
1) Offsides

3) Fights
4) In-game-injuries
5) Puck blocking

Also I think that each stat can be broken down to certain extend, to provide more options to develope player - that will make game more accurate and interesting to play:

Aggression can be broken into:
Toughness: affecting fights
Blocking: sacrificing yourself to stop a shot, especially in close games, with possibility to injury.
Backchecking: pressure from behind while attempting to prevent a breakaway
Forechecking: ability to land a clean hit
Screening: Goaltender screening, fighting with opponents D for the spot in front of the net.

Tech:
Skating: ability to go around the opponents defence
Speed: speed of skating, effect on counterattacks, and ability to come back to protect own net for breakaways
Containing the puck: maintain puck possession in the tight games, ability to hold puck long in the corners
Faking: faking moves, also working during shootouts.
Accuracy: high accuracy makes snipers, able to hit the net from the long distances (for instance empty netter from own end) and go to the top of the net in the regular games, or finding 5-hole easily.
Poking: ability to break opponents play by poking puck.

Shooting:
-Shovel
-Wristshot
-Slapshot
-Snap
-Tip-in
-One Timer
-Backhand

Passing:
-Backhand
-Centering
-Clearing
-Cross-ice
-Drop Pass

Goaltending:

Offence and Defence could stay as determinant factor of type of player... For instance defenceman with high offence is more likely to join attack, while defencive defenseman will more likely to stay home and protect the net in case of counterattacks.

These changes sound really nice, but they would require a brand new engine. At this time we are not willing to invest time into building a brand new engine for hockey.

How about something simple )

I have to say that National Tournament system is not very fair in power play management. In fact, I don't know any country in the world were teams from league A have tournament with teams from league B (not even say about lower leagues). This is creates games played "in-one-net" that are not interesting neither for low-end team nor for high-end team.

I have 2 propositions to Power Play team.

1.
Teams are competing based on the league they belong to. So, if I'm in the league 2 (normally 4 sub-leagues 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4) I participate in the National Cup League 2 tournament. Same applies to League 3, 4, 5, 6... etc.

However, top league has only 20 teams, meaning that they know well their opponents and this tournament won't be really interesting. For the top leagues I propose to create World League 1 tournament were all teams from League 1 compete.

2.
Same idea but with more motivation for the low-end teams to grow. There are 20 teams in each league - have only top 8 of them participating in the National League # tournament. What will be achieved? Well, firstly, we will cut out team-no-name kinds of teams (who are not interesting to play for anyone). Second, we will have top teams of every league making tournament really intense and interesting not only to play but even to follow. Finally, winner will actually be proud of achievement - that he was able to be the first between even teams...

This drafting thing looks great to me. It's just that the time should not be a minute. I think 15s is easily enough. 99% are not there and the rest have to wait that long for each pick. If you have a minute to think, it's the same if you have 15s to think if you are present. But even better solution would be, if the ones not present would be handled immediately. Then the minute is fine.

Please consider this if you'd like to have people around in the live drafts.

You have to take into account bad connections for those present. Thus the 1 min threshold.

I did. The 45s difference does not mean anything if you have probs. You have 3-4 complaints per draft because of that (and you still have the list sorted for the automatic pick). But as is you have 10 000 complaints per draft as it takes too long because of non-present managers.

I take that 15s back. 0 seconds if the manager has not been logged in for the past 15 mins. 1 min for online managers.

Some people don't have high speed internet connections in the world. Some other do but are sometimes on mobile phones or other mobile devices. Sometimes your connection is not bad but really slow. That's what I meant. And for managers who don't have a PRO pack, it would'nt be easy on a slow connection to find the player they want. I've personnaly had some close calls while biding on the market via my phone at the 1 min mark.

On the other hand, for people not here, I'm sure the threshold can be adjusted if everyone thinks 15s is too long.

Excuse me for constant posts but now it was 1min for those who were not present - not 15s. That was my prob as I described in my last post, not that much the one minute "thinking time". If it was 15s and not the 0s I suggested for the ones not present at all that would be fine by me.

It is 2 B and 3 C. Nothing short of disgusting.

If this is the kind of garbage we can get out of the draft with level 15 facilities and 200 AT managers and directors can we PLEASE have an option to opt out of the draft entirely and have the usual youth pull instead?

I rather push a button on Thursday and be done with it than waste my time and be fooled like this. :-X

you don't have to take part if you don't want to. All your picks will be done automatically.

The problem is that a different mechanism is used for calculating the overall potential of a player and the stars in the academy. We are probably going to change this for the future drafts.
