I would bet anyone I will get a I.1 team again... most likely someone like Muffin Fighters or Stoney Creek. It's just the way things roll for me this season. When all else fails, stick it to the Alphas.
Just watched the beginning, I got a pretty slack match-up, cant remember who you pulled though.
Yeah the real irony is that that player had to assassinate players on both teams to even get to take a penalty--as he was not one of my five. A well, OAP you best make a run of it, so we I don't feel so bad.
Considering my incredible luck, I got the best seed in 2nd pot, [soccer_team=30145]. Well, I guess if you want to win NC, you have to beat any other team :/
Thanks CHC! However I gotta burn a tonne of energy avoiding relegation in I.1 just to have a shot at a long-term future in soccer. I think putting too much effort into the NC will ultimately hinder that effort at avoiding relegation. I'll take it week-by-week and see how she goes. I think I can play low against this next team and am debating whether or not I should.
Ya i just played low and managed to squeak one out in extra time, I must say soccer is a lot tougher this year, not an easy game on the calender.
I'm trying to save energy playing low when I don't anticipate to win. But there are games where I could have won had I not played low. Errr the energy gamble eh?

Would be better than current system, even though I would have had much lower seeds so far, and I'm unsure I would have deserved it or not...
It would give another incentive to promote and wouldn't be hard to program. This way you'd be guaranteed home-pitch advantage at least until the final 64. It wouldn't impact the top OTR I.1 teams obviously but would really help those in the 10th+ mark in terms of OTR in div1.

Whoever in Pool A gets Muffin Fighters I feel sorry for - it'll be me I can sense it.
