i agree, that is really poor. i didnt realise so few people in our community wanted to be NT manager otherwise i might have run for coach!
And most of candidates comes from lowest leagues with no experience, no one from the top lol
Croatia u20s need a game on the 19th October. Probably more teams need a game if you hunt around. Doesn't need to be u20s either. We need the chemistry up as much as possible before the WC.
Err.. Thanks for that.
Unfortunately I've been really busy with a lot of other non-online things, not to mention PPM. Looking from your profile, you don't seem exactly 'experienced' either - I'm learning still, but at the same time appreciate that there's a lot of work to be done, especially with the U20's. Everybody starts somewhere. I know enough about hockey to at least to have a good crack at it. If it doesn't work well? By all means, I'll happily step down and let somebody with more 'experienced' take the reigns.
With regards to my assistant - I chose him because he's a nice bloke. Like me, he's learning (and yes, I should've chose somebody a bit more experienced - hey ho, stuff like that happens). No need to even badmouth the guy, especially when you haven't even spoke to him.
If you want to badmouth me on the other hand, then by all means do so - but I'll say this: Learn how to spell and use the appropriate grammar. It seems to me that you're either one of two things: A kid going through the various points of puberty or an adult with a real sense of immaturity.

thanks for telling us that you're busy with real life.
Now you've recognised this, are you going to re-prioritise so that you can put more effort into being nt manager?
If not, you should let your assistant manager do it, or someone else who has the time (and hopefully some experience).

Then is the question, why did you candidate if you are so busy? Can't cope? Get hard or go home
I certainly didn't expect to win. It isn't exactly great when the potential U20 manager choices are some lads from the Finnish or Latvian 4th divisions and barely have a grasp of the English language. Surely people don't people want that? I want to work with English managers - a few have messaged me about players and that's great.
That's the plan fluff. My big project should be over by Tuesday and I'll have a lot more free time, allowing me to have a crack at building that chemistry up between players. I really want the NTs to do well, but obviously me being busy has hindered that chance quite a bit. I'll be upgrading and getting a few friendlies sorted, so we can try get prepared for the WC's.

You didn't expect to win? lol It isn't an excuse mate. Me too didn't expect to win but I'm here and I do my best. My assistant is busy away from PPM so, all pressure on me atm but he will be with me a very soon and we will prepare our NT for WC together.
Anyway, good luck.

well its good to hear back from you guys anyway, and hopefully we can see some hard fought games on the ice in the coming weeks...
All this reinforces to me why the nt scene in any manager game is pretty much pointless, to be honest.
I am involved in other manager games where the NT scene is quite vibrant and brings a lot of enjoyment to those involved.
Perhaps here the lack of interest is because only a small number of top UK teams have the facilities and staff to grow international talent.

We could of played Bulgaria u20s today who have a blank. If no one cares or objects i could contact admin and see if i could take over and give us a fighting chance. It's up to tomism if he is going to be committed or not though.
I fully support this Kingfubar. I am not having a pop at Tomism, but if you are inexperienced then perhaps running as an assistant manager would give you valuable experience? National team coaching in any game is a massive commitment and should not be taken lightly. One day I hope to be involved in the National team too. Hope this situation sorts itself out soon.
