I've been playing for several seasons and I have to say it is getting boring.
The seasons are too long. Once you play everyone once you know where you are in the playoff race. Two rounds are too long.
I never get a quality player from a pretty well developed sports academy. Just added a 4 star player in every category and he arrived with all 60's. I cut him immediately.
I am 56 and I don't think I will ever get from 3rd Division to 1st. I already dropped from basketball because it is the same way. A team that went undefeated in my division "Dusters" went undefeated 3 seasons ago and then went up to division 2 and lost every game. Then came back and went undefeated again. that's a problem...
Can we speed up the seasons and get a "star" at least once a season?

To have better chances to get into D1, you will need to either wait for people to get bored before you and wait quit or start the game on season 1 or the most season 2.

since you quit basketball you are missing out on your best bet.

3 years playing and i just made to D1 in soccer and still i will need a "miracle" to not be relegated next season.

D3 (or the last division) is very boring, but once u get to D2 it gets more interesting.

I do agree season is way too long. That is why ppm reduced the season on basketball.

I made it to D1 in Soccer in under six seasons. As bulls says, move up a level. Hockey and soccer are long, Out of all 4 I like handball, good amount of games to stay interested and a good amount of downtime to take a break and run camps.

When I got bored I did a MASSIVE rebuild. I used some guys going nowhere to keep me competitive in a league and won 80% of games. After maxing facilities I went prospect shopping and rebuilt my team from the ground up. And, now, that team is my pride and joy.

It is worth a shot, but, I only recommend it for people who like seeing players develop more so than buying a winning team.

How much did it cost you to purchase a group of prospects capable of eventually being competitive? Did you buy more than one player for each position to address the risk of bad luck with CL?

I targeted 17 6/6 guys to mitigate such risk. The prices are steeper now, but you don't need I.1 elite player quality either. I'd start with a stud prospect goalie once you have 200 OR coaches and lvl 15 TF. Then add as you see fit. You can still get good players on the cheap. At 17:50 EST there are always sales of players from dead teams. You can often get 1400+ OR 5/6 guys for <100M.

Thanks for the advice. I already have a level 15 training facility and my important facilities will be maxed in about a season in soccer. I'll probably have to save for a while to get sufficiently good prospects at prices approaching 100M per player.

In any case, I'm looking forward to finally having the infrastructure to build a sustainably competitive team, though it did take a while.

Right now is the time to buy in hockey. Prices are very low since most took a hit after previous season. Expect to see the same in soccer this season. I bough a 22 year old 4/6 defender with OR 1950 and AQ 90 for 130M.

Was 21 5/6 and look at the price tag and the player he became. Will be within 2 OR of 2000 when he is 5/6 at season's end.

What makes D2 more interesting?

My team only makes 5mil a week. That barely buys anything. Can you define players going nowhere please? It will take forever to max out my arena...

The last team to win my D3 went up and lost every game in D2. That does not seem right. They should at least be an average team in D2 after moving up??

Just a player who is 1 to 3 /6 CL and of an OR that puts him in the top-20 of your league.

In D2, most of the teams will be active and competitive, whereas in D3, most teams will not have an active manager and many managers tend not to last much longer than a season. The forums can also be more active in D2 and D1, though it depends on the managers in the league to some extent.

There are a lot of player on the market that aren't good enough to play on elite teams and have no potential to improve, but would be the best player in D3 or even in D2. These players can be purchased for very cheap amounts (from under a million to a few million). Since most teams in D3 are not very active, it gives you a very good chance to promote. Here is an example: Marius Delobelle .

It does take a very long time to build your stadium, but doing so ultimately doubles your income.

It's possible to stick around in D2, but it can definitely be hard depending on the division, though it's worth checking the other teams to see if it is possible to buy players good enough to compete without spending too much.

My team is at the point where I might consider starting to purchase players like that (100m players) - it is better if you don't invest in players like that at this point, especially prospects that need good facilities to develop.
