Many people didn't take the time to learn the new energy system. I'm at 98/98 or 99/99 for starters depending on time played as I'm the only team in I.1 to play very low every period. Come the end of the season it should pay off. The numbers in the guide are for 15 minutes played. Doing the math quickly for % of time on ice you can see you lose quite a bit of energy especially if you increase a line's ice time beyond 25% (which is 15min in a game).

Yup. The teams playing 3 lines are expending 33% more energy.

And playing on Very High is a killer.

The spreadsheet I put together take into account the intensity of play (very low to very high) and the number of lines played.

Actually, Fat Tuesday's in league II.1 is already down to 86.71% without counting friendlies.

Nice! I did quick mental math. I figure I'll save a good chunk of energy come season's end. The key is making top-8 playing very low all season. If I can do that, I'll be in fantastic shape for playoffs.

Yup, a bunch of teams in I.1 have done similar to you. You're on top but the Nicol Bolas are 0.08 behind, Cheetarian 0.19 and Frigid Affair 0.36.

The team in I.1 with the lowest energy is Shinodas, about 3 behind you. Most of you guys are saving energy actually.

Ya I.1 is good for energy conservation. They know what got them there right? Extrapolate that over almost 3 (we are around a third the way through) and the difference becomes a little more promising. However, players will start to burn more as games get more important.

On my sheet you're at 94%. This means you've burned another 1.5% (the system rounds down at x.5%) on your friendly games which seems fairly high.

Anyway, my results will not be completely accurate since I don't count the friendlies or the National Cup games. It does give an idea of where everyone is though. Panzer is at 90% before friendlies.

True, 9 will make a bigger difference. But can you believe that in the other leagues I've looked at, a difference of 9 is pretty much normal at this point of the season.

my average energy for most of my players is 97. Some of them are at 96, some are at 98-99. I play a friendly everyday there is no league game, and I play them all on very low. If that helps you at all.

im sitting at top line 91-94 and the rest around 94-95

One assumption too is that you're playing your leagues with equal time. I can't see if you change that.

Anyway, it's not supposed to be perfect at all, just an indicator. That's after today's game. Again, it could be off if you use replacement players, it doesn't count friendlies or if your lines are not playing an equal number of minutes.

I like the looks of that
