I like that. That would make it harder for teams buying 100 players just to train and sell them...
its all ready difficult to profit doing that with the tariffs on selling 10+ players per year.
Penalty on training would ensure this tactic doesn't work anymore. I hate that. It inflates market prices artificially and more than often result in 1-atty monsters. Not good for anybody.
Well if people would just stop buying overpriced 1-atty monsters that would hurt those people the most....
Each country's support team should do their best to teach and encourage new managers. Just make sure to add that information to the intro messages.

but how are you going to penalize them? The problem is 1 atty players aren't really that expensive (esp when compared to 1 atty staff members) so training them that way doesn't hurt the trainer.
Perhaps if there is a cap on training that would prevent creation of 1 - attys by say limiting the maximum to no more than 120% of the next highest atty.

I believe your idea is all ready incorporated into the game.If you look at the high operating expenses for the advanced facilities, I would imagine they include support staff for the head doctor.
A training penalty for teams with over X (30? 40?) players would reinforce the financial penalty already in place...
Its sad that all the the countries here in Asia cannot participate in the World Cup. In reality, countries like the Philippines that have no professional leagues still can qualify and participate in the World Cup. It would be really great if these countries at least had a chance to qualify. Im sure it would improve the enthusiasm for the game in smaller nations.
I agree, many people who i have got to join have since left when they realised there is not going to be a national team. It will also put small nations at even more of a disadvantage because the other nations will get extra experience. I don't think having a national team even if there is only one manager from that country is a problem.

How about something like a history of our Team Strength over the season? So we can see how and when it increases or decreases with different combinations...?
