Level 6 SA, and I pull a 136 "Zero" with half stars across to board. I wonder what the standard deviation is for these players. high end must be 270, low end is 100. The range is a larger OR than most of my players!
My best guess; higher SA in handball does not = better players, it just raises the probability of getting a player with stats higher than a certain upper limit.
Thats basically it, even for the other sports. The higher SA increases probability of higher stats, but as you said I am pretty sure the range is quite high. In hockey, I have a lvl 13 or so, and I still get guys under 200 OV once in a while.
Really? Yesh. I remember reading over Canucks' quick overview of SA pulls for the first few weeks of soccer and saw that the standard deviation decreased... for some reason I thought it was around level 8-10 or something.
I'm now debating if it is worth it in handball. Might as well buy 5-10 good players for a few mill a piece than put the 3, 5, 8, 13 million dollars to get to a level 10 SA that isn't guaranteed to give me results.

It would make sense if you needed to fill out a lineup like in hockey... but this is a significantly lower number of players that we are dealing with.
I think the thing with handball is going to be having multiple rosters. The season is longer so you probably won't want to play with your "A" players every game, or you'll be drained for the playoffs.
That is exactly the mentality of several elite PPM managers. It is often cheaper to purchase players you know are good than hope that the roll of the dice gifts you one after millions invested. The only other thing is, investing in the SA helps via training camps.
That's a very good point. But SA boosts percentage. If I already get a 50% boost in training, and I've put the money into the TF, it's 50% boost on better training. I might hold off on SA for a while now that I have the potential to pull two players.
My thought exactly, SA lvl 6 is where it'll sit likely until S2.
Next facility that I'll put all my money into... maintenance and education center! I'm going to train the best custodians in the game.
