Thank you Mike. At last, somebody who actually wants to add something to the thread in a good way.

I said I was leaving, but truth be told. I have played this game for ages now, so i'm not going to leave. I just spat my dummy out yesterday and took my ball home

I read just about every single thread on these forums, I read all of the user guide more than just once.

I understand that training players can take a long time, but it's just a bit frustrating when you can so easilly dominate one league, and then the following season you struggle to get a point.

I didn't enjoy losing every game, you are right about that. Who would?

It is just the manner in which the game throws you from one extreme to the other when it comes to results and the league you are competing in.

He is doing a very inefficient job of leaving.

Generally I feel it is best to just remain stoic and indifferent to game development/design. It hardly will ever change, and won't change fast.

Maybe the game would be more tolerable if there actually was a British or English community to it.

So, here is a question.

What keeps you guys and girls playing this game?

That would help. On TM, the community play a big part in retaining users as it is friendly and there are lots of people posting on the forums.

If PPM could replicate that in some way, then they would make the game 100% better.

I have just taken to trying to develop a youth squad over time and to see if I can make them into a good side of the future. I brought in some non British players to my team to show the youngsters how to play but now am going to try and bring in more developed British youth to make it an all British team that hopefully will continue to improve. I agree a better British community would help sometimes as I still do not understand why ice hockey has no real following over here

I'm hanging on English players in football - it's simply cheaper so more money left for improvements..

I do have to agree, the community/forums side of PPM is lacking a lot. The forums are virtually dead, with only 10 or so regular posters in the UK (and that's being generous!)

I keep playing as it's nice to build my squad and facilities and see actual progress being made with my team. Plus, I have a couple of really nice youth prospects I want to see develop

One of the reasons could be that lots of Ice Hockey managers are not so familiar with English language.. (Well, I'm not Shakespeare by myself - but I'm trying.. ) so they probably communicate in mother tongue forums - elsewhere..
