soccer.powerplaym anager.... is a red X on the Goal my player scored on a free kick. I'm not a football/soccer expert so why did that happen/mean?
yeah. i did that too a while ago and found out not usable yet. is there any liklihood of getting the "to-do list" working? that way we could have some idea of where things stand in terms of development and release?

1.)advantage of ballposession gives not more goals
2.)stronger attack gives not more goals
3.) "intelligent" positioning of players (like reality)gives not more goals
4.) "intelligent" taktics does not give more goals.
5.) my defenders are making more goals than the attack
Please can you give an idea, why this happens so strange?

We have been complaining about these things for most of the last few weeks. I believe the engine is being tuned... just not seeing it "too" much.
so we need to try a lot of weird line-ups and then see what the enigne does. You can't start the full version if there is a possibility that a strange line-up like these can win. there should be better ways to just prevent managers to make a bad line-up
This issue, unless resolved has the potential to ruin a very good sim up to now...
I made a suggestion a while back in the formations thread, can I get a bit of feedback on this???

Excellent wingers are a real commodity in the modern game, as is having a strong defensive ability, or great central attacking mids and a great front line.
However, if you line a team up to play exclusively on the left or right sides of the pitch in the initial formation, then I wholeheartedly agree that that team should be humiliated in the scoreline.
Football is also about balance, and this is the key really.
You can have the best players in the world, but if your team is unbalanced, then its not gonna work out.
"Team Balance" should therefore be brought into the reckoning when scorelines are being created by the match engine, as a seperate attribute alongside Goalkeeping, Teamwork and individual Skill.
Even adding this in as an invisible variable will work, based solely on symmetry.
Maybe give it a "out of 10" rating based on where managers choose to position their players.
Perfect positional symmetry = 10/10
All players positioned on a wing = 0/10
I think this by itself would cut out the silly formations and realistically see anyone choosing to use such formations, being hammered.""

one downside i see to this are teams playing 1 winger...less than perfect symmetry...get penalized for it.
