I’m excited to see what the team can do!

Canucks357 has put in a bid for Canada to host the U18 World Cup hockey tournament. There are two other countries in this category vying for the opportunity as well. Let's get behind him with our full support and our votes.

Where can one vote? I only see S34.

Oddly enough, I don't see it on the site anymore. And I gave my vote for you and Canada. Was it a misprint? Or you withdraw the bid?

I don't think we can vote on this yet. We have to wait for the deadline of submitting candidacies and then we get a short window to vote on it... I think.

Deadline to submit has passed. I don't see it either, still only S34 despite the item in the newsfeed. Who knows, maybe we'll win with one vote! I didn't really put much effort into the bid so expectations are low.

Vlady removed it because it was "incomplete". Specifically, I didn't upload a mascot and/or tournament logo and was going to use the default.

We are following a tough act, (SamuelCarrier).
I think we have done our prep work.
First two lines at 75% chemistry, and all players at 97% energy.
Will be in even better shape going into the second round.
Our weakest area is goaltending compared to last year.
Hoping to win another medal foe this great country.

I believe! Go Canada go!

Not liking the close loss to Spain.
Makes beating Austria today imperative.
Hope goaltending is not a negative factor.

Don necessarily need a win today against France, but we do need to keep it close in case Austria beats Spain.

Despite the fact we lost 5-2 today to France, we will be moving into the next round. Spain beat Austria who will finish last with no points.
Our goaltending is a worry with save percentages of only 83.33% today, up from 75.00% yesterday. Our overall team strength is actually up over last year (406 compared to 389). Looks like we may have to score a ton of goals to stay in the hunt.

Not looking good. In order to advance to the playoff round, we would need to win our last two games.
In addition one of the following three scenarios would have to occur:
1) France would have to lose both games and we would have to make up the 11 goal differential plus score 1 more goal since they beat us already.
2)Spain would have to lose both games and we would have to make up the 12 point differential plus score 1 more goal because they have already beaten us.
3)Finland would have to lose their next two games ,and we would hve to make up the 17 point differential.
None of this seems very likely.
We will still be playing to advance, but I fear our goaltending this year has been our achilles heel.
On a positive note, goaltending looks a little stronger for next season.
