Two questions I'm sure are answered somewhere but I can't find it:

Our captain is Oldrich Olbrich, a Czech floater who is our career point leader. Most of his scoring has come against league operated patsies and he tends to disappear in the big games. We named him captain as an aspiration to the other players that if they score a lot of points they too will be able to stay with the club. Our first assistant is a Croat because down in Dunnville we like Croats. Stone McCormick, a token Canadian, is there to mollify the home fans. That's our strategy...
And after contributing one shot to the total of 46 in a 1-4 loss in an absolutely crucial match, Olbrich's tenure as our team's captain has just come to an end...
According to the guide:
Captain of the team increases the morale of the team and the other players then play better. This is applies especially to his linemates.

I would assume the EXP is the most important attribute to look for.
1) Captains provide a boost in strength to their line - for example, my captain boosts my first line offensive strength from 290 to 310.
2) I don't think it matters, just pick someone who is on the line you want to give a boost.

I'd chose your best player, it is likely a percentage boost and the boost is biggest when the player's strength is biggest...
I have been reading old articles on line from some guy named Sam Hansen. Are his articles relevant or is he "Yesterday's Man"...?
Sam Hansen is Trueblue55. They're relevant but things have changed. Your best bet is to read my articles. Each of the new ones should have an appendix of all past articles.
Okay good. His are certainly easier to read but I will go with that.

My big time apologies...I just assumed that the articles from season 3 or 4 meant that the person who wrote them was long gone from the game. And by "yesterday's man" I was simple referring to the relevance of the material to the game. I know it has changed...

I'd be the first person to tell you they're outdated. There is still some relevant information in them but the game has evolved quite a bit since i made them.
