That's about accurate. It takes real hockey teams many seasons to pay off the costs of upgrading facilities sometimes.

Which is another reason why I held off on triple floor multi. No sense dropping that kinda cash given the daily expenses, not to mention the upfront building cost compared to upgrading other facilities. My motto: build facilities until it is cheaper to build you rink up to the next level of economical stands

I have a single floor multifunction right now and have a double-floor being built but will hold off on the triple.

humm, i might just stop building stands till next contract then, i have like 1700 which isnt bad for my team seeing how long ive actually been in ppm

The single and double together (assuming you built both to max size) will actually cost almost the same in daily expenses as 1 triple floor multifunctional and will have 200 less people.

The triple is actually not too bad if you want that many seats available and can somehow find the upfront building costs.

Oh, i know, my problem is it would take me 3/4 of a season to save enough to buy the triple. Buying the single (last season) and the double (start of this season) was more cost effective.

I'm sure there are people getting massive sponsor deals due to them being advantaged in a number of ways (couldn't resist, sorry), but us normal people will take a whole shitload of time to save that amount.

i consider my team as normal and with 4 weeks of saving (5M per week) plus the biggest loan, i can afford my the triple...

That would make sense, assuming you don't already have a loan out and are repaying it.

For your smallest single and double:
Seats 400+600 = 1000
Upfront Cost = 17,400,000+24,800,000=42,200,000
Daily Expenses = 34,800+49,600=84,400

For the smallest triple:
Seats = 1000 (thus same)
Upfront Cost = 38,000,000 (so 4,200,000 cheaper)
Daily Expenses = 76,000 (so 8,400 cheaper per day)

From this point of view, I would say that the triple would have been more cost effective - just needs slightly more self control to begin with as you have to save the whole way to the total rather than spending halfway.

Very true. Would involve saving for at least 6 weeks, and not spending any money on facilities or players during that time. Realistically, closer to 8 weeks.

I just upgraded to Large Standing... My next jump will probably be large with seats as canucks was talking about. Then I'll try the jump to the multifunction stands, but will have to see which version would be most cost-effective for my sponsorship at the time.

i stopped my buildings last season with all large stand-ups. 2000 spectators, that was nice and even now i'm not filling it because of my earlier Training Camp and the loss induced.

I've just started the build of the scoreboard so i will have more people and now i,m saving for the triple.
