What are your plans to spread information? Do you just plan to spew it out like UDP traffic?

Post some plans you have, some ideas you've thought of and a method to implement your plans / ideas and the you can get support - otherwise it just looks like you post bi weekly saying "OMG HELP" so that you can get a free pro pack.

As you noticed or maybe you did not... but I am the captain for the USA Support team for almost 1 year... Since I've been the captain I have reached certain goals that the USA team has accomplished... and it's not me talking...look at the numbers...

When I first started USA was behind UK, now we are way past them and getting very close to Canada...

As of what am I doing? - I am spending a tremendous amount of time to advertise on different forums, I contact different websites for cooperation. I write welcome e-mails to new managers...

I am sorry I don't post enough for you, my friend but this is probably because my responsibilities is to promote the game from outside.

This is why I am looking for assistants that would be willing to spend time to help me in advertising, so I can focus more on internal propagation and news.

Since I've been the captain there was only 1 month when the USA did not grow in members, the rest of the months were all positive!

I would like to ask you to join the support team and maybe then you will see what am I talking about. Yes, I get a free pro-pack... you know, it is not worth it for the time I spend...

I don't get a free pro-pack based on postings in the game ... It's all about new members...

Keep in mind we only know you from what you post, so all we see are pleas for help and no information on what you are doing.

We're not asking you to post everything you do, but it would be nice to see some of what you are doing, ie, what are some sites you are promoting on, where have you tried to spread the word, etc so we can know what you would be expecting for help.

I'm leaving in about an hour for the long weekend but when I come back perhaps we can talk me being an assistant captain. So i'll send you a message on Tuesday morning.

How could anyone have known anything that you've done, or your plan to do them without you communicating or posting?

How do we have any idea where or what you've posted or done? I frequent many other sims and forums and haven't seen anything about US PPM. Not that you're not doing a good job BUT YOU asked for the communities help and I as a member of the community who values his time would be willing but not without a defined role, a defined goal and a plan.

What goals? The USA membership should grow monthly and looked to have done so over the years just because - I don't see any radical spike, nor do I know that it's not Taloncarde talking to his neighbors while watering the lawn.

What forums? What websites and what kind of cooperation do you ask for?

What kind of advertising help? Do you already have the "ads" completed and laid out or do you expect them to make all the ads for you to give them a propagation target?

I deal with blow hards all the time and I apologize if I came off abrasive but all that I have witnessed from you is spamming of the PPM forums.

My advice is to tell your audience (the forum readers and generally the active american players) what your plan is, how you want to spread the word and go from there - OR ask us what you think we'd do. Many of us are busy and don't have the time to dedicate that you do (myself for instance, I'd love to help but I have work, children etc and my time is best spent elsewhere.) but have practical knowledge through work and other websites and communities to help spread the word.

hear hear! You're asking the questions on the minds of a few of us. I had just assumed the worst so I'm glad you took the time to ask these pointed questions.

OK, I'm sorry it took so long to answer all the questions, but it is the 4th of July... and also my anniversary... I hope ya'll understand...

Opivy, I have to report monthly to the administration so I do not think that if I would not do anything they would keep me as a captain...I don't even know if you are supposed to know what or how I am working... there is a lot of confidential staff that I can not share with any of you... only if the administration will allow... I have acces to the Admin section in the game (I have one more button than all you have in the game)

I would like to know what forums do you visit, so I can post there too.

Goals: Yes the goal is to increase the number of members!

Everyone takes part in this not only me. My role is to promote the game as much as I can. With my help I there were two times when PPM was mentioned on one of the Wichita's radio stations... I am trying into talking Shawn Rhodes who is one of the producers of Heavy Pork on Fox channel to try to make some comments about PPM on TV...

Generally, I just try to talk to people that have any kind of mass media connections... + the college I attend is fully propagated on PPM
I've put tons of flyers on different occasions...

You have to understand that Working alone is very hard, this is why I am trying to find someone to help me. I had around 4 guys that tried to help me, but in around 1-2 months I had to fire some and 1 or 2 people quite because they did not have time. It takes a lot of time and commitment... While writing this I started to become angry that I am actually spending time on writing that... For, I have no Idea what reason...



I am asking for ~3 assistants. 1 would take care of the news, and other comments for the public... and the other two would help me in advertising. Advertising as of posting on different forums, facebook.


P.S. - please show me and give me links to my spam... I am just curious except the link to this page... I just needed attention from the public!


Also Whenever I ask for help... don't just ignore it... Fill free to comment... tell me if I am wrong, give me other... newer Ideas...

Advertising is done also on other games...

+ I advertise on multiple international games and web pages.... if someone from Russia for example sees it, it is OK, it still helps the greater purpose for the game to become better. But Of course the main audience is Americans!
