LOL. You're just a homer.
I can at least see problems with my players. Luongo is the biggest diver in the league, he doesn't yap as much as Rolly does, but he needs to learn that the water is frozen.

I used to be the worst of haters. Now I tend to just sit back and enjoy the game... I've learned to like the Sedins although I'm a hardcore Flames fan. With the exception of Edmonton, who are ruining promising young stars such as Paajarvi and Gagner...
I used to hate the Sedins too, but mostly because they were so afraid of going into the corners. Now that they have actually decided to play hockey and get physical, I think they are amazing hockey players.
Remember when the Sedins NEEDED someone like Anson Carter to go into the corner to get the puck? That's why I didn't like them.
The other hated Nucks of mine were Jarko Ruutu and Matt Cooke. Oh, and Dan Cloutier, but that's because of a puck-bunny ex girlfriend.

Well, being physical is certainly a big part of hockey but not all of it. To be honest, looking at the Flames years before, establishing themselves as a hardworking, physical team.. it's not proving to be successful. We desperately NEED the skilled players. We already have physical players, but too many...
If you look at the Bruins, they have Lucic and Marchand who pretty much fill that hardworking/physical aspect of their play, but they have a whole shitload of other players who fill the "skilled" part of their play.
Anyways, the Flames need more skill

Anytime Anson Carter is NEEDED on a line to get the puck into a net, that is evidence that something is lacking from their hockey game.
There is a difference between a grinder like Lucic, and a skilled player going into the corner to fight for a puck.
The skilled players on the B's will go and fight for the puck.
I don't think there are too many players that are afraid of the corners anymore.
Oh, speaking of which
Q: How do you get a Swede to go into the corners?
A: Start a fight at center ice.

clearly you missed the part where I said "I know he does", which was in response to you saying he is a diver
You had to go all the way back to the Anson Carter era to burn the Sedins. That says a lot about how good they are now.
And if you want someone to tell you whats wrong with the Canucks, i have no problem doing that. You mistake my total support for homerism. I agreed with you that Luongo drops like he just got sniped between the eyes. Kesler is the other one that needs to cool it on the diving.
Other notable Canuck problems:
a) they are a team that has to work very hard in every game, and they often forget that and are prone to taking nights off, or "playing down" to their opponents.
b) Alain Vigneult plays favorites with players, leaving certain players (eg: Ballard) on the bench while putting in a guy like Aaron Rome/Andrew Alberts
c) There should be other players willing to stick their necks out for the Sedins. They are elite, skilled players, and are often knocked around, and NO ONE stands up for them ever.
d) we have a goaltender situation brewing here, Schneider has played much better than Luongo all season, and even looks more comfortable in net.
e)they are WAY too mentally soft at times. There is no team in the league as capable of epic collapses. They let the likes of Chicago get inside their heads way too much.
f) Luongo should NEVER do another interview, he says nothing but stupid things that draw negative attention to the team, often at the worst possible time. (eg: pumping Thomas' tires)
g) Kesler is going to have to start passing the puck more this season. He has a winger now in Booth, that is capable of scoring.
h) (most important) Beer prices are astronomical at Rogers Arena
I could go on and on and on, but I'd run out of alphabet. No team in the NHL is perfect, but the Canucks are pretty damn good, and a lot of fun to watch.

Agreed. I wish the Flames followed the Canucks' build. Especially having two elite centers in H.Sedin and Kesler who can create plays, something that the Flames lack. I mean, if Iginla played on the Sedins' line, he'd be a consistent 50+ goal scorer.
oh my.... can u imagine? Sedin-Sedin-Iginla, it would be so pretty.
I still think Sedin-Sedin-Jaromir (Sedin) would be the best...
ahaha, well, there would be a chemistry there unrivaled in all of sports. You'd be adding pure flow to the current sedin line. Unfair to the rest of the league me thinks.
I don't think Kesler is as great as he was last season.
It was a fluke season and won't happen again.
1) Yes, I had to go back to the Anson days to put a knock on the Sedins, but I said that they are great players now.
2) I can't believe it is now the Rogers Arena. That's bull! It is GM Place. Rogers pisses me off.
3) Luongo's interviews are always going to be better than Bryz's interview after the 8-9 game.

hahahahaha, that Bryzgalov interview was solid gold. Never seen self loathing on such a scale, it was glorious.
