Couple of unexpected wins for me vs Tenis Pros and Black Metal recently.
Wow, looking like a very strong draft coming up. Two A+ and two A prospects scounted so far!
Lucky guys, II.4 so far I've found a single A player and he's a goalie... AGAIN. I need D's! Or at least W's... And I have scouted 100% of the 6/6 D and 90% of the Ws... Weee. Then again, I did say I might quite after this season so it probably doesn't really matter xD
Wonder if they are the same guys I have ..lol picking 13 I doubt any will be left over.
I never did well in the draft so gave up a while ago. I always go for FAs now...
Shame to see a few more teams go to the quit bin this season. Wonder who will be around at the end of next...
Would appear that only Microbrasseurs are a concern of the newcomers. huskies have one high end player but not much else. My season standings are as follows for the top group of teams (ones that make the playoffs):

1st vs 3rd coming up on Monday. Someone will no longer be unbeaten. My money is on Rocky Mountain, lol...
I would be happy with 9th. I am still focusing more on facilities and arena than the team itself so any reasonable placement for the standings will be a win for me.
I hear you with arena and facilities first, as that is where your cash comes from. Right now I have my first stands going 2500 from 1000. The rest will follow suit as I get the coin. Still though I find upgrading players when you can helps. I overspent on my most recent acquisition but after being outbid probably a good 100 times in the last literal year it was about time to get new blood I figured, cannot remember the last time I won an auction, been months at the very least...
Tricky thing with players ia that they help win games, but they dont help generating money (except through star level) and they can get expensive quickly. Cost can get out of hand and crush your money generation delaying your ability to build up a more sustainable team through infrastructures.
I can't even fill my arena yet with 12,500 seats. As the season goes on my OTR will fill it. At the start of next season I will build another section. My idea is to buy RFA's as my players age and their CL is 1/6. That 2nd three year contact for a player that is 1/6 seems too much to buy when I can get a better overall player.
I agree with that. I go to the RFA market much more than the regular market. It takes a lot of time, but I find that it can lead to much better grabs. My arena is roughly like yours and I also have some free seats at this point. I am waiting for some lvl 14 facilities (sports academy/HR) that should lead to some juicy upgrades in cash flow and quality youth. I'm looking forward to the end of the season (already) to see what kind of jump in sponsorship offers it will generate.
Wow, I beat the 3rd place team in 1.1 in the national cup. Total fluke!
