Urgh. Another person playing VH against me. Thankfully netted all three points.

Considering you have only 1 line (player, really) that's significantly better than mine atm, I had to take a shot. I'm actually surprised I didn't fare any better, really.

But you should know by now I play H or VH against pretty much everyone I have a chance to beat. I need these edge games to go my way if I wanna have a decent placement, otherwise I'm very middle of the pack and may lose my spot in the playoffs xD

Yup, agreed. It is likely based on sv%, but should be based more-so on both GA and sv%. So a .500 sv% doesn't tank confidence when he is 1/2 but it would if 3/6.

4 goals against in the third to lose... nice.

Also, my sv% so far this year is 18th. Gimme a break!

Must be... he did play since he was ~15. I shouldn't have traded him. I figured I'd be comfortable in the 4-8 slot. Perhaps I need to be more liberal in my energy use.

I’m surprised at some of your games. I think you’ve had a lot of bad luck, and people seem to be using lots of energy against you. Those 4 goals came from VH.

canucks357 has the lowest average age in I.I . This means he likely has the lowest average player experience which will also work against him. Lower ranked teams will always play on VH if they think it gives them a good chance to win. They may also play VH just to maximize player experience. The battle to avoid automatic relegation is real!

Exp is worked into team strength ratings. So long as you're comparing that, the rest is just tactics/energy/luck.

On the plus side, I'm in good shape energy-wise (note this doesn't consider NC and Int'l Cup play).

What I see in this list is:

stronger teams spend less energy - they don't need to

weaker teams spend less energy - there is no point

mid-range teams spend the most energy - trying to stay relevant and make the playoffs.

(Also not accounted for are the odd games where I know I'll lose and field my youth team at VH for the sake of giving them some experience - if I'm to lose anyway, I may as well get something out of it. Am I the only one that does this?)

And silence stealers are actually spending more energy then me so YAY I'm not dead last! Haha.

I play VH with youth in any game I have no chance of winning in all sports, especially handball!! It gives me better chance of winning the ones I can, providing that chemistry on my top team doesn't take a big hit by doing it long term. Those games are also a chance to expand your tactics base by playing seldom-used ones.
