You need a good first period. I bet goalie confidence Fs you. You're the better team, but if you don't score in the first, all those shots and no goalies makes the next 2 periods that much harder.

I had 21 shots in the first period. Can’t get much better than that. Our goalies both let no goals in in the first. Why is mine always shitting the bed? same thing for game 1 of the first and second rounds. It can’t always go against me. That’s ridiculous.

For the record, I ran expert's estimate for 10cr, I had 52% win odds. I find that quite surprising - must be home ice.

If I wanted to make it really hard for you I'd have kept my best guys and added similar guys. I'll still be a weaker team, especially given my significant downgrade in goal.

That's my guess also, but a very weird choice... If you need to win 1 away game anyway, might as well get 2 shots at it than just one.

That's a terrible strategy. If you throw game 1, you're now reliant on Game 2. Sure, you're at home. But if you win, you essentially have Game 1 part 2 in Game 3, so you've gained nothing. If your opponent plays VH, he'll be more tired than you, sure, but that's a 1% reduction and well within the noise of PPM results.

Edit 1: 2-0 after the first. Shots 12-3. Another goalie and a goalie change would have followed. I should have put my rookie goalie in net and played VL... let you burn energy

Edit 2: Second period done. Late goal by Mando made it 3-0. Shots 24:9. Down three I doubt a tactic change will make a difference. Golem given the rest of the night off.

Edit 3: Dropping to down three has me now at VL for the third. Quick 4th goal by Mando. Hoping that means he is still on VL and tapping that energy down just a bit further.

Edit 4: I think we definitely have a VH vs VL situation. Shots ended 45:13 with a 7-1 score. That's a 4-1 third with shots 21:4.
