It is utterly silly to think that staying down in lower leagues rather than fighting to avoid relegation in higher ones is beneficial but unfortunately it is.
Even just the difference between coming in the first couple of teams in i1 to just missing the playoffs is way too large.

Start off in III.6 came in 6th in regular season and 1st in playoffs.
I finished 9th in regular season and 13th in playoffs (injuries combined with training camp) for the second season.
