I'm a returning player. Have not logged in for about a year. Is it possible to get my old team back? I know the players will be all gone, but I had built up a few triples and having my stadium and facilities would give me about a 2 year jumpstart on today.
Yes, it should be. I've never done it though. It costs credits. You'll get facilities, arena + players that weren't sold all back. Can you find your old team as an inactive anywhere?
Not sure how I would find my old team other than looking at every team in III and IV to see if the Icedogs were running the team from season 13 up to around 19. If that is what I need to do I will though. As for the credits, that won't be an issue. I'll pay whatever is asked to save that kind of time.

Yes, you can restore your team for credits on the same page where a new team is created, but only if it was revoked due to inactivity or at your own request. A team that was revoked because of bankruptcy or insufficient number of players cannot be restored. It is also not possible to restore a team which has been taken over by another manager or a team which has been removed from the league structure.

Hmm... The team was removed do to inactivity, so no problems there. Teams are generally recycled though to new managers fairly quickly. I did start a new hockey team a few days ago, knowing I have to get to day 11 before I can really do much. Assuming somebody else has already taken the team spot (there could have been multiple owners by now), and the fact my new team has 5 days in, would this mean I can no longer gain access to my team that had about 600 days played?
If there is no manager on your old team you can revoke this team and regain the old team. What league did they last play in?

They were in III, I'd be guessing at exactly which one. I don't think I promoted up to II before I left. I'll do some searching tonight to see if I can find the old team.

Ah well, had to ask. It should be a good ride back up to the top!
