Any NEWS on National Soccer teams yet?

I think for hockey, they waited until like the third season to have the world championships...maybe they're doing that here too?

They weren't sure they were going to have the international team competitions ready, so it may be partially a case of simply not coding it yet.

They might also want to use a different competition format. The hockey format is the same as is used IRL.

If they wanted to match IRL soccer, they might want to split qualification up from the final competition, or have continental competitions.

Why is SOCCER so slow to update after games? Is it just because its new that it takes forever?

I imagine somebody has tried this before, either in soccer or in hockey, so I'll ask here: can I start a camp in season 2 and have it continue into season 3? If so, does it only count as a camp in season 2?

by all accounts, any camp that starts in one season and ends in the next does not get charged against the next season.

okay thought i would give this a try. any advice? ie tactics, atts, buying, etc?

also do the players start at an older age, it seems most of my players are at 17-22.

Most of the players you got are real scrubs, bad draw. The players do not start at a higher age than hockey, but the initial players you are assigned are all over the place in terms of age.

Build up your facilities with your cash. Build some seats to generate revenue. There is no tactic wheel in soccer so you need to create formations based on the talent you have on your team and then set the tactics based on the formation and players.

I would resist the market for players and staff because they are fairly inflated and you need to concentrate on facilities anyways. That being said, you may want to sell some of your best pulls from the staff and youth pulls to get your facilities going.

Not much else I can say as an introduction, but just keep posting questions here and people will help out.

Oh, training. There are a whole lot more attributes than hockey and more are needed by players. So concentrating on 3 attributes with a ratio will probably hurt you. Scan the forums to see what people are saying about this, but this game is in the early stages and I'm not sure many people have figured things out yet.

IF i were to leave the team would i have to wait a period to draw a new one? or is that allowed?

for that matter how DO you quit a team, just dont log in for a month or so?

I think its 25 days, I can't be sure though and if you even make a slight miss-click into soccer it will reset.

Your team isn't *that* bad though. You compete against a lot of NoNs so you will get plenty of victories to build up your OTR and thus get better sponsors. Your SA pulls will generally yield players that can play for you immediately as well and less garbage. You can try to sell or release any other players that have no chance.

Keeping your roster fairly small keeps costs down anyways.

If you develop good facilities your team will grow fast. If you buy players you might help yourself for one season, but hurt yourself in the long run.

Most of my initial players are no longer playing as starters after just two seasons. So that should tell you that you can build fairly fast.

After your first game of the season you can compare team strengths in the division to get a better feel for the competition. As long as you are within 5 points of overall you should be fine.
