Yes, but you would think that in that scenario you should have gotten a higher offer as you were promoted.

There have been a few situations like this popup over the last few days which have really made me think the system needs a serious look at.

We know there are a variety of factors, OTR being one. We just don't know the weights of them. Antsa mentions last season's results and where you will play in the upcoming season factoring in.

Well, a friend of mine finished in the middle of I.1 while I finished 4th in II.1 (we both won our leagues the previous year, FYI). Our OTR is around the same, our HR is the same, etc. And our deals are basically the same. Maybe it's best if these stars and variables went away and we just received a deal based upon a better formula? Or perhaps if the difference between a 1* and 5* wasn't as large as it is now. I got lucky last night with a 4*, but the previous two 1* offers I received were a full 10m less than last nights. That's a good 15% difference.

I think there should exist scenarios where a team GOING up receives less money. Like if his OTR is much higher, if his HR is much higher, etc. But a team in league 1 who stayed up should never receive less than a league 2 team that's not going up.

What I meant by the statement below is if the team not going up has a higher OTR, etc. What I wrote could be a little confusing.

What I'd like to know, is how is league level in any way a factor when a you have two teams with identical OTR, managers, HR level... the only difference is that one team finished 9th in league 1 while the other team finished 4th in league 2. Those two teams received practically identical offers. The team in league 2 ended up with about $8M more in the end.

This, in a way, discourages promotion.

The most important question is, are you having fun? does how much money your team makes determine your level of fun?

It's not like this system is unrealistic, look at the English Premier league of soccer, the same what, 4-5 teams win every year, and yet it's one of the largest sporting leagues in the world.

Like for instance are the salaries fixed? If so, does that mean anyone whose contract was up during the "broken period" and got a huge contract is screwed? Or does the new formula go back and retroactively change anyone's salary who got a new contract during that period?

I just want things to be fair and it doesn't seem like they are. For the record, my contract was a big bump up, I'm just fighting the battle for other people in the name of fairness and the game.

I understand what you are saying... but I'd avoid comparing this to English football What do you think the chances are that Swansea City got a higher sponsorship deal than Fulham????

maybe that's part of the perspective problem I'm having. See, i don't think it should be perfectly "Fair" i like overocming difficult situations to win, so I am all for teams getting huge financial gains so that when i beat them it's that much more rewarding.

Maybe another solution option would be to have a super league, where the winner of each country's 1.1 team plays a full 38 game season against each other, and then next season they go back to I.1 and the winner goes into super league, or a relegation game between them, something like that could be cool.

about the salaries. this is what vlady said in the news:
"All the salaries will be recalculated so that the conditions are the same for everyone."

are the makers of the game gonna plan the games today as promised at the start of the current season ?

I want to play soccer as well, but don't make promises if you can't deliver them. They still have time though, though they shouldn't wait too long anymore, as things will tend to end up the same as this start of the season (upset users)

euhm, what's that gotta do with it ? people weren't really happy about matches being planned in at monday...

not talking about anything else you know (people were upset by the matches being planned in so late, and then the downtimes ofcourse too, but that was not what I was pointing at)
