If you live in Canada I don't see any reason why you can't be in Canada.

I don't believe it is possible/allowed.

Then what is the complaint?

I was in South Korea when I joined PPM, but I have since moved back to Canada.

It is possible to move teams around, it is likely just too labour intensive to justify doing it for one user.

As far as what's allowed, already what I'm doing is not allowed. When I returned to Canada, I got a threatening sounding PPM-mail letting me know that I wasn't allowed to operate an Other World team while living in Canada, but rather than lose my business, they let it slide.

I'm not accusing PPM of injustice here, I just think it's a fair thing to ask. I would like to compete against my compatriots. I would like to have a national team system to be a part of. I would like to play in a league where my opponents speak the same language(s) as me. Currently Israel and Australia represent the bulk of the Other World teams, and if either country gets a few more users, they could become their own league, like Ireland, and so I would rather play in a league that has more consistency than that.

You are not playing in Korea against the rules because when you registered, you were living there. We just don't move teams. What we could do, would be to change your nationality on PPM and you could start again with new teams in Canada, but I don't think you want that.

If I wanted to start over with a Canadian team, I would have done that on my own already. I just think it's fair that when PPM is already moving teams around arbitrarily for me to ask if my team can be moved too.

When you get a message telling you that you are in violation of the rules, it sounds threatening, especially when the person writing it speaks English as a second language and might not know the cultural niceties to soften the tone and make it sound friendlier.

When Ireland got a league a few seasons back you took some players from the OW league and moved them to Ireland, so ppm CAN move players around.

Why not give this guy a break and move him? He's clearly being heavily disadvantaged in his current position and is not enjoying the game all that much.

You've moved teams before, so we all know you guys CAN do it.

We're talking about 1 person who quite clearly is not playing in the league he should. Should he have broken the rules when he registered and said he was in Canada when he wasn't?

You're own rules have screwed this guy, so the onus is on PPM to fix the situation. C'mon, do something nice and give the guy a beak.

I strongly agree... He's a PRO pack owner and a long-time PPM player and it would be unfair to leave him in a league where he can't even communicate properly with. I'm not trying to be disrespectful to vlady, but how hard would it really be to move a team to a different nation? Well it might be challenging, but the only problem I can think of right now is if wjloewen's team will continue to produce Korean academy products or change to producing Canadian players.
I don't know if that could be fixed - that's why I'm asking - if the nationality of academy products are able to change.

It's just a case of assigning the database record to the appropriate database records. I know it's not as simple as "that", but at the end of the day it's simply a case of updating a users appropriate records to the relevant information. This is the advantage of a database driven site, it's really not difficult to change things.

As i said before, they move teams around all the time when adjusting leagues or creating new leagues. Heck, MY football team was moved from Oceania to Australia this season, i've had it done to me.

At the end of the day if PPM don't do it, its simply because they choose not to, not because they can't.

Since he moved and is now in Canada, I support him having a Canadian team.

we are not moving teams "arbitrarily". There is a sophisticated system behind that. I am not against moving you, but if we move you, more people will request the same and we will have our hands full. We don't want to start a trend.

anyone can select their home country when they register regardless of where they are at that moment. These accounts have to be approved, but unless it is a clear attempt to cheat the system, the accounts are approved. There are more things than just IP address that the gamemasters look at.
