World Championships start tomorrow
Dear friends,
for many of you the season ends today. The final playoff games will be played and then you will have 9 days until the start of season 8. This is the time for the PPM World Championships. You are invited to follow these Championships. As usual, the live games will be free to watch for all. The Czech organizers of this season's elite tournament have prepared a championship website, where you can read interesting articles and take part in various competitions. Hello friends,
Before I get to the main subject of this newsflash, I would like to inform you that the frequency of academy and staff pulls has been changed. You can now pull new youngsters and applicants every week. Applicants will come every Monday and juniors every Friday. Of course the number of applicants and juniors per one pull will be halved. This change has been announced in one of the previous news.

Dear friends,
at the beginning of this season, we have introduced a bunch of improvements in the hockey game engine as well as some new tactical options. Even though we were happy with the effect of these changes, we knew that we had not yet reached the end of our quest. Many of you welcomed the new tactical options, while others were getting more irritated by the upsets and unexpected results. Therefore we have made it our goal, to make further improvements for season 8 that will make you, the managers, even more influential when it comes to the results of your team.

Hello friends, The time has come to announce the hosts of the PPM Ice Hockey World Championships in season 7. The championships start on June 4 and the final game is scheduled for June 12. We have received 2 bids in the Top Division, but no bids in the lower divisions. You can read more about both bids in PP Magazine. Hi friends,
last week we imformed you about the changes regarding motivation of teams to promote and avoid relegation. After reading your reactions we decided to introduce some changes while there is still time. Some of you expressed their concerns that the mentioned changes were not enough of a motivation, while others claimed that it would greatly damage the teams that would be relegated despite their will to stay in the league. From your reactions we targeted 2 major issues that we wanted to address with these changes

as you know, our office was open to visitors during the Ice Hockey World Championship. Officially the dates were May 3 and 4, but we had some visitors on other days too. Some people came from really far away.
We were especially glad to welcome our Slovenian Godfathers and national team players Marcel and David Rodman. The guys found some time to visit our office day after their game against Germany. Even though they were really tired, they wanted to see the PPM office and they signed our guest book. One day later, they played probably their best game at the...

as of June 1, 2011 there will be new pricing for purchasing credits on PowerPlay Manager. As you know, the prices have remained the same during the whole history of the project and they have never been changed before. However the project is facing constant growth of expenses on the maintenance of the website and servers, growing inflation and to make matters worse the VAT (Value Added Tax) has gone up in Slovakia. All of this has forced us to react because we want to ensure the financial stability of the project so that it can continute to develop without any...
