Season 44:
Starting off 2-0 should put us through to the next round no matter what happens against France today!

Made the final eight, and played Finland today. A surprising 10-0 win puts us into the final four against France tomorrow!! We will need some good luck in that one!!
A 6-1 loss to France (WR#3), followed by a 4-2 loss to the Czech Republic (WR#2) in the bronze medal game left us fourth overall this season. This is our highest ranking since season 39 when we also finished fourth!! All in all, an excellent showing for our U18 team against much stronger competition!! Thank you all for the support and training efforts that continues to deliver despite dwindling player resources!! Congrats also to the U20 team who also pulled out a fourth place finish!!
Don't know if I've ever seen this before.! Canada U18 beat Estonia U18 in the shootout 1-0.!! Four goalies played, two for each team.! Because no goals were scored in regulation or the overtime, all four goalies had a save percentage of 100%.!! The three star selections were all goalies.!!!
Hello! I have a pretty solid young RD who might fit nicely on the national team.

He has been scouted, and almost made it this season. He is pretty much assured of making the team next season.

The U18 team draws Austria today in the relegation round. Anything but a loss by 2 or more will keep them in the Top Division. Good luck.!
Season 47:
The U18 team needs a win today against Slovenia to advance to the playoff round. Fingers crossed!

I have scouted all of the 18 yo players and I'm in the midst of doing the other ones as well. I know Bobby knows Olivier MacKenzie since he told me so when I contacted him 2 seasons ago when he was 16. I also contacted him at the end of last season about my player, just as a reminder before he made his roster. I don't want to hassle NT managers because I don't want to force my players upon them. It's their choice after all.
Still, I don't understand why he hasn't been picked up. Now that I know the other 18yo players, he's 2nd best right winger behind Glenn Holland . And if you count overall, he's 4th also behind Connor Swailes and Earl Deacon . And if you don't count xp in the balance then fifth behind Derrick Abai . And one could probably argue that you also need to count the U17 into account, which I can understand as well. But I'm a bit dumbfounded and would really like to know the reasons of that choice.
Also I've noticed that there's no foreign managers for U18 players. If that's a choice, then not a problem with me, I'll sell my player and move on onto other countries to save and develop players that have been thrown away. But I sure wish I would have known 2 seasons ago then.

I can't answer for Bobby Jay. I am sure he will come and answer in due time. However, I can assure you there is no policy to prioritize players playing in homeland. It is my personal preference to keep our talent in the country, but when a player plays abroad and can help the NT, he is welcomed aboard.
My sincerest apologies.
Olivier MacKenzie should have been the fourth 18 year old right winger selected.
At the time, he was behind Strauss, Holland, and Abai.
But due to MY clerical error, I also had Deacon listed as a right winger which would have made MacKenzie the fifth 18 year old right winger.
It is unfortunately too late to make adjustments now.
The overall training percentage is an average of all the attributes, even the ones that don't apply.!
The real training percentage is an average of only the attributes that receive training and is also dependent on the amount of individual training applied.
This can vary training by a significant amount and explains why some players who start out close behind another can surpass them.
Players who attend training camps will show better progression than those who don't.
Experience has taught me, that in the World Championship, you very rarely use more than the starters unless there is an injury.
Often, an injured 18 year old can be replaced by a 17 year old who is close in overall value.
It would seem unwise to carry 18 year olds who would probably never see ice time.
Better to carry 16-17 year olds who can be used to gain experience and chemistry in the friendly games which can then be played at a higher level to maximize their development.
This also means you have players to use in each season's first friendlies so you don't forfeit.
There is also the mix of lines to consider.
If your 6 best wingers are all right side, the two worst will not play so that you can have LW and UW to match up with the RW.
When ranking players, I apply the chemistry and experience bonuses as they affect their level of play.
I use chemistry at 100% to evaluate their full potential.
As far as no offshore managers being represented, I was not aware of that. We always want to use the best players.!
That said, if two players were basically the same, the home town player would be chosen.
I pretty much scout 2 players a day who have potential.
I am constantly checking new academy arrivals for talent.
I also check the market for players who may have been missed.
I am certain that MacKenzie will be a top prospect for the U20 next season.
I hope this has been helpful. If I can be of any further help let me know.
