Assunto: ChL and CWC

Well, my improbable run in CL is over. I think we had a solid showing in International Cups this season, even with a dead team in CWC.

Erratic and Rowdies are carrying the flag this season. Currently we're still projected to get only 2 teams in Intl Cups again next season with an avg coef of 4.29. The cutoff to get 4 teams in was an avg coef of around 6. I'm not exactly sure how that average is calculated (can anyone explain?), but it's safe to say that our 2 teams need to produce at least 14 to 16 points combined this season.

I haven't looked at how Erratic matches up in CWC, but I know I'm up against it in the ChL. I think 6 points would be a fair result for the Rowdies. If we get close to qualifying 4, I'll def dump extra energy on behalf of the USA.

We both won today though. That's nice. 4 pts banked.

We are close to the 4 qualifying team bracket. Definitely a reachable goal for us to get in there for next season.

I may be less confident. How are you looking in CWC? I know I'm the weakest of all 5 teams in my group. So I think 6 pts from me would be about the top I can expect. MAYBE 8 pts if I catch a couple teams napping.

I'd say I'm about middle of the pack so 8 pts is the minimum goal. We are only one point out of the next bracket. Last year our 4.75 avg team pts dropped us out, and I think we have a shot to get back in if we average 7-8 pts between us.

I spent the energy last year at the expense of my regular season and came up short.

2 wins for USA today. It's going to be close for getting 4 teams in next season, but we're battling. xalthos with the ultimate winning goal at 59:59.

Covington with a convincing win over the team that has the most money in handball - White Crows. Unique distinction.

Whew close one. We've moved up to one spot outside the 4-team bracket.

Pulled a minor upset today to reach 6pts so far. Another team went bot, so I'll def finish with at least 8pts. Three matches left. Advancing out of the group is now a (small) possibility all of a sudden.

xalthos grabbed 1pt today against the top team.

Another strong day for USA. We'll be inside the cutoff line for 4 teams tonight.

Currently the 9th strongest team in the world. Incredible result.

Opponent went VH in the second half to erase a 5 goal deficit and salvage a point. And failure to keep both points probably cost the Rowdies a guaranteed ticket to the knockout stages in the ChL. I will finish with 9pts. There is a scenario where I can still advance, but it requires 2 specific outcomes between evenly matched teams. Still, 9pts was more than I was expecting from this group.

With the recent National Championship (our 3rd in 4 years), the Rowdies will be back at least in the CWC next season.

Covington Rowdies finished ChL round robin play in 3rd with 9 pts with a win today. Second place had 10 pts. Was close to advancing. Close games broke the other way during the tournament. We tied once, lost by 1 and lost by 2. Still, 9 pts was better than expectations because a team went bot during the tournament and gifted us 2 pts.

Erratic also finished 3rd in their CWC group with a tie today.

The USA is currently 31st, with the top 28 getting 4 teams in next year. It will be close. We'll know tonight. The good news is that we won 3 pts collectively today, so you would assume we move up a few spots. (Having won the NC, the Rowdies will be back regardless).

Overall, 15 pts were won for the USA this season by 2 teams. A very good performance.
