Wouldn't be horribly hard to do, the entire information of the player is exposed on the profile page.

been having to answer lots of questions so far this season - the other countries seem to be taking this more and more seriously as time goes on. France wanted me to discuss with them my trianing and energy usage plans for Cornillon; had to send my coaching and regeneration staff information to Czech (screenshots of the scouted staff members pages so they can predict how much Svec and Kulhavy will improve by end of year) etc. etc.

I've only reached out to one GM, but that's because he had a potential beauty of a player and was 1 stat training him.

But to me I don't want to tell everyone what to do with their players or threaten them to be removed from the NT if they don't comply. If that's not the way you guys want to do things, we can make a change next season

we are in D2, so we won't be under quite the level of pressure. I only have one player that may be strong enough to play for juniors if they get things started in that category, but I don't think my training capabilities are quite the level he can play consistently at the national level.

what are the ideal facilities to develop national taem players? I am running training on my players at a 2/1/1/1 ratio with lvl 9 training and regen facilities (will be lvl 10 in 30 days)

What the other countries are doing it's over the top in my opinion. There is no reason to force a manager to train a player a certain way. They may suggest things but ultimately the team manager owns the player. I wouldn't want our USA team to go to that level. I've joined this game to manage a team, not to manage a player for the NT team.

Agreed. It may mean the USA won't be as competitive in the short run, but I actually think we'll get to that competitive place anyway after several more seasons. The difference is our managers will get to train our way.

I'm mixed on that notion. What's wrong with the NT manager saying he wants starters to be built a certain way. They do that here. For example, are there any 1 skill build guys around now?
The same thing goes for energy usage. When I was assistant NT manager I checked with a number of managers about their energy usage. When they continued to burn energy so fast the player was useless to the NT the player didn't get played. Simple... So what's wrong with the NT manager talking to find out how you plan to use your player? If there's several players competing for the starting position the NT manager should want to know which to expect to be in best condition. Why reward a player with training bonus that isn't going to be the best choice to use in the actual cup?

It's a privilege to have a player on the team let alone on the active squad getting the bonus. If you (anyone) doesn't want to make that player the best he can be for the team you shouldn't be surprised if other players are chosen. In the small community of the US it's taken for granted if you have a rockstar player he's getting started. On other NT teams you'd have to make him as appealing as possible to get him the bonus.

There's nothing wrong with a manager suggesting how to train a player. In previous posts I've clearly stated that if the NT manager suggests a training program for my guy I'd definitely listen because the NT manager looks at a lot of fantastic players and he's not just giving wrong advice. He's got a point.

However, ultimately the decision is the club's manager. My understanding is that other countries are very strict in terms of what we like to call suggestions; they seem to be giving orders and that's what i'm against.

Think about this scenario: if a I have a NT player and I'm making the playoffs, I'd want to place as high as possible so that I can get the highest cash bonus. That would allow me to build my facilities faster and at a higher level. If I play on low or don't play my ace because he's going to play the world championship then I lose out in potential money. Sure, my player will get that bonus for a week, but he'll lose out in training for a season or more if I don't build that training center or hire better staff.

Don't forget, we're not all maxed out in terms of facilities and arenas, so everyone is trying to build up theirs, thus fighting for more money.

Now, personally, I only start US players so that they earn experience from 15 or 16 years old. I think that will make these potential NT player more appealing once they become of age. However, I can't force another manager to do the same. Everyone should listen to what is suggested but ultimately stick to their own plan.

Does winning National Team games provide anything other than a boost to national pride? If not, I can't see how any restrictions on a manager's use of their players is justified.

I hear ya JOJO. I also have to agree with you that it is totally your right to train and otherwise use your players how you want. In the same regard it's the NT managers right to utilize players to the best of advantage of the NT. If yours are more fatigued than other comparable players your trade off choice was made and your guy may not play. That's fair, no? Beyond that when the NT manager is establishing an idea of how to play the guys throughout the friendlies it seems reasonable for him to get this clear with you. If he has 2 managers with player in question if 1 manager makes the promise to reserve energy and the other says he might need it for playoffs whos player should the NT manager use? Yes, the one who promised to to conserve energy.

It's not so much mandating how you treat your player, it can be viewed at as making it clear to you how you may be forgoing an option for your player.

National pride but directly the players who get called up for the friendlies and actual games get a nice bonus to training and the players popularity rating.

I can understand why some may think it's not worth the lack of use of a player. I sold off my main NT player for partially that reason. That and I figured he'd still fetch me high dollar and he'd lose c/l. He didn't lose c/l yet.. lol

I completely agree about the training aspect. I could never TELL a manager how to train their player. But what I can tell them is that if it wasn't trained the way I thought was beneficial to the team, then their player wouldn't play. For example, I feel like we have alot of players on the NT whose tech is the same as their agg. These are the players that are causing us to have too many penalties some games. I know not everybody agrees with this theory but I noticed alot of games last year where we got into penalty trouble and it hurt us. I know energy also played a part in that too. And once again, its hard to tell a manager to save his energy. Its just up to the NT managers to pick the best of what he has when it comes to things like that.
