Training update...obviously this didn't help me in my first playoff game but I now have 35 players at 200 OR or better. I have dudes with pretty good quality so my focus now is to focus on "coaching them up".
On a side note I just sold my #4 Center (for 4+ Million) to make room for an up and comer that I want to get ice time for...then the same day my #3 Center goes down for 16 days!!! I know Grim is having similar problems, but it sucks to lose a starter when your already down a game and on the road.
I also had to invest 3 million in a goalie...and not as a starter but as my #3. I had NOBODY beyond my top 2 guys (who are decent but not spectacular) and it was risk to only carry 2 with the playoffs looming...he needs some training and eventually could be my #1 if he trains well.
Good luck the rest of the way. OUT!

Yeah, my top guy in OR took a dive and he's still out injured. Two weeks being injured translates into about a permanent 10 OR skill loss due to lost training.
That's how my starting goalie, Douglas Head, became my 3rd stringer. He lost 25 days of training this season. When he's healthy he trains almost the same as my current starter (4/6CL doesn't hamper training compared to 6/6CL quite as much as I thought).

Oh, and I at first noticed that the Notso Fastos have six injured players and I was like "Whoa!"
But he must've read what Leggs did to keep his injuries down and copied it: Buying very low OR, already-injured players so the broken injury system would limit injuries to your starters.

Just a test Already got someone injured after I did that so I don't know if it works. Shrug. Can't hurt, although I am spending a lot of money on fees for being way over 40 players
Noted, you could change your team name to the "Red Cross". You keeping those players 50 days or cutting them?
That's not to say it's a bad idea. I haven't gone more than two days at a time with my entire team healthy until someone else got whacked.
And with my last injured player two days out from healing... it's a cheap superstition to try.

Douglas Head, my team's version of Eric Lindros with his injuries, was my goalie for Game 2 because for the third time this season my starting goalie suffered an injury. All 3 goalies are about equal in stats (Swan's close but not quite there), but Head's got more EXP.
Let that be a lesson for you -- carry a backup plan in net! This will make it nearly 30 days this season I've had my starting goalie injured.
At least Game 3 will be at home for us, and Jimmie Wells will be back in the lineup.

Thanks and Congrats to you too, bizzzy.
Seeing Headhog eliminated almost brought a tear to my eye. I have not been in a playoff where we havent faced each other. I wanted it again =(
Hey Atrain! Your Pirates hung tough as evidenced by the scores we put up. All close games imho. I think that when season energy resets and the new season begins your team will jump up in all strengths and numbers.
GL to all teams still scrapping in the first round!

Mark my words...my game today comes down to the PP/PK. If my PP cashes in then I think I win...if his PK stops me then he wins.
Wolves and Jags both advance...I'm using my blackberry so its hard to read the summary but I could see that my Power Play was "ok", I Þhink 2 for 5?
