So...how does he arrive on the market? Or does he?
He probably could/should have been on the NT, but he isn't. In that case (and someone please correct me if I'm wrong), assuming the NT still had a roster spot the NT manager could add him which would save him from oblivion and put him on the market. But since our manager is no where to be found, the chances of that are slim to none, favoring none.
So basically this amazing player is useless to our team and the chances to get him on USA are 1 in a million..NOOOOOO
That is the most helpful explanation on entering clickable player link I have seen in 6 months. I have seen it explained but NEVER have I seen someone point out the SPECIAL TAGS option.
If a player is on the national team and the player's regular team folds, then the player will automatically go on the market. Based on something I saw in a different forum, it is not possible to save a player after the team folds.
For U18 hockey, I usually leave at least 5 spots open to pick up good 15-17 year-olds from teams that are about to fold (granted that hockey gives you many more roster spots than you actually need for the team including enough substitutes). I check every once in a while to see if anyone is about to fold. There's also a special forum in hockey to post links to teams that are about to fold, though it really hasn't been used at all.
Silver is lost, Gambit or no Gambit.

Maybe Silver will be on the market once a team takes over the Olympus franchise. I thought I remember seeing somewhere that players over a certain OR automatically hit the market? Or was that like capsaicin said just for NT players?
So what are the chances we an keep Silver if he somehow gets on the market....Not that it matters but he would go for a TON of money.
Player dismissal
If a player whose overall rating is higher than 400 is dismissed or his contract is not renewed, he will automatically go on the market. If his overall rating is lower or equals 400, the player will retire. If a manager does not extend contract with a free agent who has not received any offers from the other clubs, the player will retire.
National team players
If a player is in the national team and his club loses its manager, the player will be sent to the market automatically, no matter what his overall rating is.

(((I assume the player dismissal paragraph ONLY refers to user owned teams, not to ghost teams.)))

OK. So, making sure I understand this correctly...when the team goes BOT, this player just disappears. That sucks.
So Sad. I watched him grow. He was going the be the next LeBron. Such as sad loss.
Even worse...Olympus is the highest ranked unmanaged team in that league, too. So, it will likely happen soon.
On the market.
Wolf Ballard
He was a great second string shooting guard for me. Newer, up and coming teams might want to think about having him
