Almost 100% of my players came from my SA but i just notice that the entire last season i was unable to pull a SA player that was worthy of keeping and all my draft picks were a bust. since the draft was introduce, my SA hasn't develop great youths.
I noticed and commented on the exact same thing somewhere in the handball forums.
I completely agree. I think they might have tweaked the SA.
I think they want people to have to rely on the draft (at least somewhat) going forward.

They did not reduce the SA to make the draft more valuable I promise you that. What *may* have happened was the overall frequency of good players was reduced because we now get to see more in a season (since the draft has 4x the player pool and we get 2x picks on draft weeks aka 18 pulls per season). However, even if that is the case, over 112 days you should still have the same rate of good player pull/draft as ever.
I hope so... because if they did, that'd be... annoying. if I'm gonna get nothing but 1 star pieces of shit from the random pulls, then they might as well just get rid of the weekly pulls altogether.
As it now looks like the draft is going to be 28 days of wasted time, and hopefully the pulls aren't going to be 14 days (once a week for 14 weeks) of wasted time too.
I used to get excited about player pulls every week. my heart would actually start pounding a little bit as I was waiting for the page to load. Sometimes it was disappointing, but others, it was like a silent "YES! Nice!"
Now I'm hardly ever excited anymore. I've had sooo many pulls in recent weeks in all 4 sports that were "blah." Every day with the soccer draft I get 3 more players that are "D" quality. I now have 20/24 players that I've scouted in the soccer draft coming out as "D" players.
"Recreational Players."
If they nerfed the random pulls, the draft better be worth something, and so far... I'm not seeing it.
Unless (per the graphic that I made in jest) even C players are usable players, I just don't see where we'll get any benefit from the draft.

I've found two As and a whack of Bs already and I've only scouted 6/6 U players.
Because the draft was supposed to take place on the last day of the season, meaning they were still in your league. They had to move it back a day because of technical difficulties.
Don't get me wrong, I hear you on that.
Lets say you've found 2 As and 8 Bs (I don't know your crazy canuck lingo, so I don't know exactly how much a "whack" equals. I'm going to assume that you're scouting 5 guys a day (I'm currently at 3). You've found 10 guys that are Bs or better out of 40 scouts. That's a 25% success rate.
I've found 2 Bs out of 24 scouts. That's an 8.3% success rate.
We'll see though. Since I'm in a lower league, I have the ability to scout 87.5% of all my available draftees. So if I can't find something of worth in there, then the system is truly flawed. Because if I can't even find anything of value, what chances to people who can only scout 50-60% of the draftees have?

In hockey I normally get 2-3 (0-5, min-max) A and better players in a pool of 35. Speaking from SA data, 4* players have ~2-3% odds in hockey. Thus, if you're after A+ players and you scout 40 players you should expect to get 0.8 4* players scouted.
It just seems goofy for a team that beat me drafts 16 and I draft 17...
Well, they did say that there's an additional random factor in the pick order. However, you can't drop or gain more than a certain number of spots.
Not a bad draft today. We'll see what the results are like.
