Okay, so how does this work:
https://handball.powerplaymanager.com/en/match-report.html?data=20190829946
My team gets 2 red cards in a game that should've basically been quite easy. Did I play with only 4 guys at the end of the game or did someone sub in? And also, how does this happen in an easy game but in games where I lose by a landslide or when I play my all kids line-up then I don't have that kinda result?
4 red cards total in the entire season (20 games so far). 2 in the same game. WTf RNG?

Err, guys, I'm trying to find the info in the game guide and somehow am coming up empty...
How long can I be in the red before my team just implodes on itself? I um, I underestimated how much I spend in a week, apparently. If it's 7 day, I need to put a player up for sale like, NOW, to stay afloat :/

6. What happens if my account balance drops below zero?
If the account balance of your team drops below zero, you will not be able to do any operations which cost money. For example building up the stadium or facilities or acquiring players from the market. If you don't get out of debt within 21 days, the team owners will dismiss you from the position of the general manager.
From the FAQ part of the guide.

Oof, ok, I should be able to swim back to the surface by then. I was searching for red and negative, balance and zero did not come to mind in my panic xD
Ah, I'm good, made it to the green with the weekly sponsors coming in, and I've got Heggs on the market for at least 20M (hoping that goes up to 50M or so in the last few minutes of the bidding process. He's on the NT, high exp and still has CL left. If I recall correctly, last time he was a UFA I had to pay like 90M to keep him? So yeah...)
Any plans to fix the crazy high player salaries?
Was just looking at my total player salary expense, and in 29 handball seasons, my player salary expense is $11.7 billion (currently at $5.9 mil a day).
My total player salary expense in 33 seasons of Hockey is $6 billion (currently $2.3 mil a day).
I know handball salaries are higher due to a smaller roster size, but something is clearly wrong.

I wish there was a way to search the forums, because I am sure this has been talked about. But I am too lazy to go back through it all.
Is there a consensus on whether its better to focus on 6 generalist players vs. 12 specialist (6 offence, 6 defence)?
In my mind it seems better to go 6 of each, because fewer attributes to train would lead to higher attributes over time. But I have no idea if there is any effect to the game if they are constantly swapping offence/defence players. Thoughts?

Until your facilities are built up to the top and you have a really good cash flow, it's better to focus on 6 players + 1 goalie, as the salaries do tend to get out of control quickly.
You can then insert a specialist at a time, if you feel you can manage it. Not all your players need to be great defensively AND offensively, but you'll want most of everyone playing on offense to have decent shooting, at the very least.
Pretty sure the engine only switches players from offense to defense when a goal is scored or there is a save (which is why Fast breaks are so effective, and TOs are bad). At least it's what it looks like when you watch the live replay.

I've always had a full offence and a full defence squad. Only negatives I can see are salary and it's harder to keep a lot of prospects without going over the 25 player soft cap.
players with high shooting and block are always worse than a player with only one trained.

yeah but you were also there at the beginning of the sport when everyone was on an even keel (like me) haha. in retrospect I feel I would've been able to max out everything faster if I'd just focused on a small amount of players at the start (not necessarily training their shooting/block evenly, though. Like, you want a shooting specialist for those 7m shots, and your middle back and pivots should probably be high blockers, IMO).
Yeah good points.
I think I remember Canucks or someone having a shooting only player for 7M shots a while back, and I don't think it had that drastic an increase.

Thanks for the input. I'll probably just stick with what I was already doing, since I am already this far into it
