I agree, mostly reading too. We are the silent majority or so I believe. Good to know that are others down there. Maybe it is just time to say hello. Anyone that reed those threads just say hello so we all know we are downthere reading and learning. So welcome Kraafty, happy to know you!
(And now I am returning to silence...)

Definately quite a few people read, but don't post. Every now and then, a Canadian GM will reach out to me to discuss something that was said on the forums. I don't know why some prefer to talk by PM than on forums, but so it is.
Forums is still a very effective way of communicating to many people at once because many GMs read it.

I know they are out there too! I have had several contact me as well, to receive advice. Some even from overseas! I heartily recommend to any/all of our readers that if they have questions, anyone who contributes to these forums can help you with your questions either in the forum, or privately if you wish. The more you know, the more fun this game can be!
Man who knew that an election would cause all this. Canadian passion and their love of hockey.
Thank you managers for giving me a chance to manage the under 20 team the past season. It looks like paulroedb will be the manager next season. Good luck paulroedb in the next national team games. I hope we can do even better this year.So I truly wish you lots of success.
Thank you SamuelCarrier for your support. I want to thank Bobby Jay and Krokador for helping out all season. Both of you are great contributors to this game. And most recently both of you have given a complete list of names of players to call up for this years team. I have added most of those players and paulroedb can finish adding based on what he wishes.
I am like many of you in that I just read the forum and stay in silence. But I appreciate those who do.
In Ontario it is family day weekend. Monday a vacation day. Yeah. So I hope you all get to spend time with your family and appreciate what we all have here in Canada.
Good luck to all the managers except when you are playing my team the Ontario Maple Leafs. Then I am sorry but I want you to loose. Go Canada.

Thank you to all that voted. I did not expect to get the manager position for under 20. Now I better do well. Congratulations to Bobby Jay on being elected to the senior manager position and to Samuel Carrier to the under 18 manager position. Paulroedb I thought it was all yours for the under 20. You have a lot of followers and experience. I hope you can give some advice when you have time.
This years team is short on wingers. So if you know of some please let me know. I will have to start doing some digging around myself.
Well it is Family day. Happy Family Day to all.

We have a fairly solid showing on the wing, actually
Line 1: Pat Main & Christopher Kinch
Line 2: Antoine Normand & Quinten Gomez
Line 3: Gavin Sheehan & Jamal Morrison
Line 4: Dan Bond & Max Watkins
Sheehan & Bond (19 yo) were both training on an average above 2.0 OR/day since my last update. Watkins is at 1.93 and nearly as good as Guillaume Ritchie already. And both Bond & Watkins have above 20 exp.
No real good dedicated PKer would be the only downside, but if you look at our past few seasons, the guys don't typically take that much PIM.
There are also a few more 19yos that are on their way to becoming pretty good! So, not a whole lot of 20yos in that position, but the 19yos are nothing to scoff at.
I'm about halfway through updating the 17yos (Someone needs to tell domrochon to stop training his youth with a 4-5:1:1:1 ration -_-' ), then I'll build the position ranking lists as I usually do in the spreadsheet.
If no one wants the assistant position, I will try to help with more than just roster advice, but I think it'd be better if someone else took a stab at it!

Yeah, two seasons ago, U18 was weak on wingers. Last SSN, wing was very strong. Thankfully, at U20, the underage guys (at 19) can be quite close to the 20 year old players.
So this ssn should be decent on wingers and next should be very strong.
Morrison doesn't have a very strong Q for defense, but I could train it a bit (up to 55 or so) if that helps the team and helps him find a role on the team. Let me know.

Krokador and Samuel Carrier thanks. Samuel I actually sat down today and took your medal team of two years ago and looked at the players you used and the positions and lines they played on for that medal. I do now have enough players now but still always looking.
With all the exitement and controversy that occurred last season, why is there still no one running for GM of the Canadian national U18 hockey team?????
Another big win today. 5 to 1. This team is going some where. I am starting to believe. Let’s go Canada.
Congratulations on another win!
2 seasons ago, this squad was certainly a great roster to play around with at the U18s. Lots of depth, decent high end.
I'm happy to see that, at least so far, it will bring solid results this time around also.

Samuel you did a great job with the under 18.. Bobby Jay has every player scouted and he also helped. This team may very well move up to the top level. I need to win this darn election again to prove a theory that I have on how to win these under 20 and under 18 world tournaments. And nobody is doing it. I wish I had thought of it earlier. Like two years ago.
So a win tomorrow will make us 4 wins and a win in OT with no games lost.Going to the finals . Let’s go Canada.
So where are all those votes. You have to back a winner man. Don.t let me down. I have not let you down.

Playoff game against Poland tomorrow. A win would be great. This team has come a long way from level two up to level one and hopefully up to the top level where it belongs.
