Yah, that's because he WANTED to play for the Canucks. He's from Vancouver, isn't he? He grew up a Canucks fan and wanted to play for them, and when he was traded to the Stars, he hated us for it.
I know! And now Luongo can actually worry about stopping the puck!
we had Bergeron last year in MOntreal doing this kind of job not so bad i prefer when he is on the powerplay because he is able to use his devastating slap shot
I can't remember where I posted this but there was a discussion on 4:3:2 vs. 2:1:1. I have a winger who is 2:2:1:1 (O:S:T:A) with 100+ prime and has the worst shooting percentage on the team. Likewise I have a 4:3:3:2 (O:S:T:A) winger with the best shooting percentage on the team (both have the same number of shots roughly). In fact, my best 2:1:1 winger is 2:1:1:1 not 2:2:1:1. Perhaps excessive shot is detrimental?
excessive shot though does pump up your team shooting strength so either:
1) the team strength indicator is broken
2) more shooting is better
BTW: One of my top goal scorers in the first few seasons ~20g per season only had 5 last season with a shooting percentage that was less than 5%. Already on track for more than 10 this season with a shot percentage of 20%. So go figure what happened last season.

Hi guys
Just got my team last week, am in a league where the majority of teams are inactive managers. My question is should I play a few games now on high importance to get a few wins on the board with my crap team? Obviously this will greatly affect my season energy but I am hoping that by upgrading my SA I can pick up much better players as the season goes on, allowing me to win games down the track even with lower team energy.
Cheers, Joel

Don't expect the academy to give you good players, it may not be the case. Playing on high against team nonames is unnecessary as they are weak. Using the breaking up of play and setting intensity to normal should be enough to win against those teams.
Unless your team is weaker, play low importance on most games. Noname teams don't have a person setting the players correctly, so while they may look strong, often they'll have messed up players in the wrong position (ie. a goalie on the wing, etc).
SA "can" bring great results, but don't rely on it! Upgrade training and Regen facilities to get better ongoing daily training.

Cheers mate, I actually have no noname teams in my league, but almost all teams seem to have inactive managers.
sent you a message - you'll find some pretty useful info there..

I had better team, won on tactics, had home ice, seriously can someone tell me what happened? is their some random calculation that makes you lose no matter what??

He played Norma, you played Low - your fourth line is a sieve and his lines found out how to rip them up - it also looks like you don't train tech to well, maybe he he does, you don't see those ratings in pucks and stars but you always do on the score sheet.
Everything Opivy said.
And sometimes people lose. There are times a "better" team loses. It's not impossible to lose, nor should it be.

But his fourth line has Hall of Fame inductee Terry Sawchuk! Why he is a left winger is beyond me though!
