The Naslund-Kovalchuk one in the street was good also. Lecavalier and Richards playing NHL9 (I think) and Richards is pissed because Lecavalier keeps doing glitch goals.
hah! anyone else remember the cheap goals in NHL 94 (or am i just making myself sound old?)
My first NHL Game was NHL 96. I remember I scored top corner from my own end with Paul Coffey (shoot button automatically put it on net). I also remember Bob Essensa stopping 147 shots in a game that went to an insane number of OTs and I didn't want him to lose his shutout (he was on the other team) so I pulled my goalie so they could win haha.
Man.. this is old. Had NHL Hockey on PC and playing on hard was intense. Goalie making Micheal Bay-style saves from shot, or fat rebound. Good times.
Hate to be a wet blanket, but we're getting off topic here. Feel free to create a thread about favourite hockey commercials, by all means.
i think the performance boost is probably the best idea so far. what if you let homegrown players build chem faster? any kind of incentive (greater than the 25% salary difference, which is peanuts considering where salaries are at this point in the game) is the way to get people to go more canadian.
I think I had one even older.
You'd skate down the middle of the ice and just after passing center you dump it in.
The goalie comes out of the net, the puck goes over his head and into the net.
I don't remember what NHL it was, but I know that the Nords were in it, so it was pre-95

I would propose that Canadian players playing on a Canadian team could get up to 125% chem boost. We know that chemistry factors into player ability somehow, but an extra 25% in chem wouldn't skew things too much.
and it doesnt seem that it would be too difficult to implement...
Not at all. Would just allow select individuals to exceed 100 chem. So long as their equation for influence due to chem isn't something wanky and is linear it should be fine. These are all good ideas I can present to the devs at the end of the month provided I get the "C" duties in due time.
For quick development, it's necessary to buy players and almost always from other counties, but I am essentially the only team from my country and I easily have 50% of my players from my own country, simply because I emphasized gradual growth and facility development in the beginning.
I'm building from now so I still got immigrant players but I'm gonna sell them in a season or two to come back where I'm supposed too with my only canadien players team. I kept everything over 70% quality since the beginning of my team, the only problems is I graduate in II.1 and it change my plans a little this league is so tough.
