any idea how good our country is, in respect to others? I hope we have some decent players 
also i have been wondering recently, how important the staff upgrades are, because i always had high training and academy upgrades but maybe staff needs to be as high also so that the players improve effectively? as opposed to just having a massively high sports academy with a lower level of staff.

Dont know how we stack up yet. Likely some of the eastern european countries will have better players just due to volume of people playing there.
Staff work better with high level facilities and are worth it, but judging from hockey, you will find wages spiral alarmingly as they get better!

ye i have found that my staff have pretty varying ranges of wages, since i haven't actually bought anyone im going purely on what i get from the academy ect. my players wages dont seem to be going that crazy yet, i have one superstar for my league level really, and his wages arent that high really. i think soon ill have to put money into my stadium though, to fund higher facilities cost.
Match income is better in football than hockey but stiil sponsor money is more. Also after getting 8 large standing it looks very expensive to upgrade capacity much!

What are peoples opinions of the database that the other countries are using? Im naturally suspicious of anyone else wanting to collect data, but on the other hand i dont want to go to the trouble of writing an england specific one.

We're using the same database in hockey. I have found it as really handy it's good way how to collect data especially at the beginning.
Cool, thanks. I think at the moment a lot of people are starting them as a way of trying to get elected tbh! Maybe will have a look anyway. If i dont win i will gladly hand it over to whoever does!
Started scouting the best looking players in england i.1 anyway. Finding the ones like komanch's guy will be the tricky thing.

I dont mind flicking through some of the other top tiers and seeing if they have any decent english players. what are we looking for really what kind of OR, age, and career longevity? would be good to know before i start scouting them.
