i just read an article by steve hansen at suceed2k about player attributes where he compares a players attributes. he starts out with off 63, pass 41, tec 32. but then he says that the converted numbers will be 54, 40.5, and 27. (this goinng with 100-70-50) what i want to know is where he came up with the 54?
Basically because you need to key off the secondary attribute (41) to determine his true value. Using 4-3-2 ratios, his 63 offense is not supported by the 41 pass attribute because 41 is not 75% of 63. Its 75% of 54.
The reason he is doing this is so that you can train the player to achieve a balance as quickly as possible. If you tried to train him to support the 63, you would have to train him hard on pass for a while and then catch up on tech which would have lagged farther behind.
Using this method you train pass and tech up together until you reach the supporting level for off, then you can start training off in the mix as well.

HA has been down for an unusually long time. Hate to think what might have actually happened.
Welcome to the game phareux! There are a lot of opinions regarding what are the ideal attributes. Our boy trueblue55 is who wrote that. While he has a good understanding of the game and attributes they are but on the scale of opinion. Many believe in a ratio as low as 100:50:50 cup to perhaps 100:80:70 or so. I personally like a 100-57-52 to 100:62:57 training cycle.
regardless of which ratios you choose, trueblue55's method still holds, you just adjust the values to whichever ratios you used. I was just using the ratios that were used in the message.

ah, so I didn't get it 100% correct. Because a lousy tertiary could have lowered the primary further. Thanks for the clarification!
