Tennis Duel
As most of you all know, the creators of PowerPlay Manager have recently opened up about a new site/game they have created. This site is called Tennis Duel. What it is is a game where you play as a tennis up and comer. You need to balance training with building facilities, upgrading your equipment, sponsors and so on. For a game made for a more casual player it is quite in depth. I was emailed about the game to try/test it and I have been hooked ever since. So I figured I would write an article about it to introduce people who haven't tried it and also as a semi review of it so far.
For starters you log in and create your account. After that you choose your gender (guys and gals play each other) and your characters name and avatar. From there you can start playing matches (to move up the ever changing ranks among all the other players) or doing tasks (quickest way to level up and make money). For anyone who has played certain mob games on a certain book of face ;).... you will notice it is similarly built. I am not knocking this, it is a way to control people and make it have more of a casual edge. So you can't sit there for hours and become a super power right away. As you use up your energy (for tasks and duels) or your duel attempts (how many challenges you can have against players) you are forced to wait as time passes by and it slowly builds back up again. I like this system. It encourages you to blitz when you get on. Then wait some time to re-log in and blitz again. Great replay value.
As you make some money and you have started levelling up your skills, you can also do things like build facilities (which help you when someone challenges you), get sponsors (increase the money you make/hour), buy your own special skills (help you beat opponents which are stronger) and upgrade your equipment (self explanatory). There are many different ways to build your conglomerate that anything is possible. No method is stronger that any other since the game is still fresh and new. And since it is still so new who can even guess what else there is to behold in the game. A world of possibilities.
It is currently in the beta phase so this is when you should try it out. The sooner you play from launch the better since you won't fall far behind. I recommend it. I have become hooked on it! I think you could too. So go give it a try here.
