I was really hoping to get more than just 2 wins this tournament. My team is not as strong as it was in past international play so I should have compensated with more energy. That's on me... Either way we moved up in the standings from last season.
Huh I was a little early in declaring that haha. Not sure if any teams in the playoffs could prove me wrong :x
That was good work this year. Good to see 4 teams back up there.
I thought ChL reps were based on final playoff positioning and not regular season finish..??
You're right. Been drinking too much during Mardi Gras.
Looks like it will actually be:
ChL
Covington Rowdies
Mojo Express
CWC
Renamed (3rd place NC)
San Crispino (4th place NC)

I have zero understanding of how ChL and CWC slots are awarded. Can anyone give me an idea of whether or not I might have to prepare for CWC next season?
From what I understand, if there's 4 slots, the 1st and 2nd place teams in I.1 go to the ChL and the top 2 teams in the national cup (excluding the 2 aforementioned teams) go to the CWC. I finished third in the National Cup this year (behind Emus and Mojo). I think there's a pretty good chance that at least 1 of those 2 will end up in the ChL next season... which, if there's 4 teams would result in me ending up in the CWC right?
Anyways... I'm just wondering, because I'll try to keep a few more of my higher OR players if I have to worry about international competition next season.

U.S is currently ranked 30th which means 4 teams total next season (2 in CHL & 2 CWC).
From the Guide:
"The number of teams that can qualify from a specific country is determined by the ranking of countries which is calculated from the results of the teams from the given country in the last 3 seasons of the Champions' League and the Cup Winners' Cup. The biggest value is always given to the most recent season. The reigning champion from both competitions is automatically qualified for the next season and doesn't count for the country quota. If the winner of the Cup Winners' Cup qualifies also for the Champions' League, it's place in the CWC will be given to the next team in the National Cup ranking of that country.
The highest ranked teams in the top league qualify for the Champions' League. On the other hand, the most successful teams from the National Cup qualify for the Cup Winners' Cup. If the same team qualifies for both of these competitions, Champions' League has higher priority. In that case, the next team in line qualifies for the Cup Winners' Cup. If the decision has to be made between teams in 5th to 8th position in the National Cup, the higher seeded team qualifies. "

Thanks XaviesCrown. What's the threshold for 2 slots versus 4 slots if you don't mind me asking?
We have 2 dead teams in international competition this season unfortunately, so I imagine if 30 is the threshold (ie. if we're right on the cusp at the moment), by the end of the season we'll probably only have 2 slots to start next season.

Canada is holding down 28th and final ranking for 4 spots. The U.S. is close with two games left
Shame Emus didn't win their last group stage game, by the looks of it, they had a shot at advancing to the playoff round had they done so.
As it is, Mojo made it out of the group stage and will continue competing, so the US now sits on the cusp of having 4 teams in international play next season, with everything resting on Mojo's shoulders.
3 countries currently positioned to have 4 teams next year are done with competition this season: Iran, Lithuania, and Canada. All 6 of their representative teams failed to make it out of the group phase in both CWC and ChL competition.
If mojo can do well enough in going forward, we just might be able to steal enough points to maintain our 4 team status going into next season...

How many points does a country get for a win?
